personal choice realy.. just like your prior commitment to not do a chrome fairmont boot spear.. lol

looks like a new set of rims.. and for just $30 and 3.5 hours work... totally transforms the look of the car....
now.. just to get the front lowered a bit and that bonnet sprayed before a museum comes knocking asking if they can put it on display...

lol, dude you should do a budget diy mods tech article or something along those lines lol.

Well, its certainly acheived the desired effect you were after. Doesnt look too bad in the pics.

Love what you have done to y our car FordFreak, do you find the diff a little tall @ 3.73?

If you need parts for it, I can help with some lower $$$. I work for Thomson Ford.

matt my spear is chrome i only changed the badge in the centre as the fairmont badge don't look good on a futura! but i now have a ghia one on my ghia so i have two cars and two different looks 'gold'....

to me black rims beats the purpose of having rims and looks to 'rice' like all those little jap s**t running around. i recon gold centres or light grey would suit the look of your car much better as you have a light colour car. But thats just me your choice mate... so when are you going to ring me up and invite me and don around for this BBQ!! :D

I like it :P

that second shot looks horn i reckon, the black highlight in the front bar matches the newly sprayed black wheel centres perfectly

EDIT: Just noticed where the rear bar got sprayed in the centre, i thought it was just the shadow on first look

exactly.. the windows were the only "black" items on the car apart from the rims.. and so added the black high lighting to sit well with the wheels and tints...

lol.. it's a mod many will miss the skirt painting at the rear.. by doing it black i wanted to highlight more the currviture of the skirt from above the exhaust tips as it wraps around the side of the rear bumper..

the black on th ekit looks nice, love the black rims, sets the car off to a new subtle way that makes you now look three times instead of twice.

I would paint the insert around the fog lights black as well, saw this mod on a orange BA xr6 and i couldnt stop looking at it, you look at the bar like, what bar is that ..????????

(like my poxy edit i added)
anyways .............. love the way you car looks makes the BA look better then all other models.

i got a Green FG xr6 and i still regard the BA as the best looking ford out

good work
