Just a little update discovered that having the head temp sensor connected to 2 ecus doesn't work lol made the heat reading low and no fans ever. Turns out car was at 110 degrees going down the 1/4 explains the pinging it was doing now fixed! The tune was also s**t dual plenum not connected so no torque below 4000 explains why It would either bog down or spin so connected it and got it retuned, much better! Pulls hard from 2800 now. Also picked this up Xtreme alloy flywheel 4.8kg should shave a good 3-4 tenths of a second off! Hopefully 13.0-13.2 in her now! Will run next week :-)

Nice. 13.7. That's awesome.

My EL, which doesn't have a build thread ran 15.3@91. Its a stock BA motor with a TR6060 6 speed and a 3.08 open centre Diff. Wheelspin seems to be my issue. It hasn't been dynoed and only has the original stock exhaust. All in all its good fun though.

Again Well Done
Brett

Thanks a lot Brett :) They really wake up with just the right mods :)

If you have yours tuned and open up the exhaust and intake it will go straight into the low 14s or 13s they are seriously de-tuned from factory it's insane.

Bit of a holy delayed reply batman I know!... Haven't been on here for awhile.

Soo plans change and I've always been partial to EB/ED Fairmonts mainly ED thus my user name lol.
I found a very nice ED Fairmont for a steal $390 running driving without faults straight body and no rust very clean interior. (I can't believe people give these away but YAY for me)

I've just registered the ED and the EL is in the process of being parted out and being a donor for my ED I attempted to sell it whole with no success.

Plans for the ED are very much like the EL accept automatic with a 3500rpm stall with lockup clutch retained and 4.10 gears of course. Car should stay in the 13's but be much more of a pleasure to drive as an automatic :)

The new beast

First mod digital dash....Hate the factory sports cluster they look cheap pov the retro digital looks classy :)
