Oil pressure high? No pressure sender installed?

Ford EF / EL Falcon - Turn of service reminder light
Insert Keys
Press odometer button and hold
Turn key to ignition position (Lights on)
Hold odometer button until you hear a beep

· Service Light Is Reset

Lol thanks all I listen to lately is techno/trance, yeah ive been to lazy to reset the reminder lol thanks anyway!
Need to run this at willowbank if it runs a 15 ill burn it, how ever it shouldnt do that :?

Oil pressure sender is the light type, not guage another lazy thing. Was already on the motor when I fitted it.

Midway down, whole section on how to swap over from a oil pressure switch to a sensor. (im assuming you had a low series cluster prior)

With my XR6, i used it alot. Different oils created different pressures. With your car with the cam, might be a helpful tool to use especially coming up too summer months to see how the oils perform in with the heat in your engine.
I used to use a summer oil in hot months (10w-15w 50-60) and winter oil in winter and cooler months (10w40) and the gauge was great for that.

In this commodore, i dont have those gauges. I admit i miss the battery meter thingy and oil pressure sensor.
:(

This one is a factory high series cluster its a ghia but I bought this car cheap with a fooked engine and when I was putting the au motor in I broke the proper sensor trying to get it out of the EL motor so the stock light type sensor stayed in the motor havnt gotten around to replacing it yet, should do soon though 40 deg days now, ive always run my au motors on penrite full syn 5w-40 they are recommended 10w-30. Be interesting to see the difference near service.time and on a hot day.

Thanks!

Man, that's clean as! Looks very unsuspecting also :P

Exhaust note sounds nice, idle behaves very well. How was it idling before you tuned it?

Thanks man yeah it's in really good condition for 15 years old :)

Sometimes get a few wtf looks when I win a race lol

Before I tuned it, it was more lumpy and it liked to hunt lol I'm surprised ive got it to idle nice at 600rpm.

Haha, I bet! I'd s**t myself if I came up beside it only to have it run away with ease

I can't believe it idles that smooth at 600rpm, it idles like a stocker haha. Adds that bit extra to the sleeper-ness

it'll run a 15.

i cant believe after all these years youve run the exact same setup on a couple different e-series and end up disapointed with the results.

Convert it to manual and be happy already!!!

Im actually very happy with this car too. I like this car more then all my other e series. Ive also timed it too 160/100mph and that was 15 flat. Which equates to a 14 so im not really worried.

the BA powered one?

also i may be confusing you with the fella that had the same coloured car you got now, had the big lumpy surecam, and still was a slug lol

all the best with it though dude, just saying youve heard all the manual conversion biz before, it would work perfect with the types of cam, and gearing you like to use

That was my cousin, with this very car, He had bad experience with Jim crock and it never got tuned or had the stall to suit that cam. Ive made it quick It runs 100 in 6.3 / 6.4. Seconds it doesnt need manual at all.
