okay so didn't quite fix the welsh plug, spent 3 hours trying to remove the extractors, which are a b*tch of a job. had 2 bolts i couldnt get to, so jut packed it up and thought i'd do it during the week. BUT did get the wheels, and they look awesome. agreed on 500 with the bloke and he was happy. tyres all have heaps of tread, couple of rims have gutter rash and a gash through em, but only noticeable when you come close. some pics:

naa bolts were tight, but WD40 and a pole made it WAY easier. BUT i couldn't get the first bolt right behind the power steering, which made it a b*tch! so ill get an extension, but i had to pack it all up and put it together because i needed to pick up the rims. so will fix it during the week hopefully.

well, if you have any further trouble, use a sand filled hammer, and tap on the end of the breaker bar / spanner your using. a lesson i once learnt from my dad, i couldnt get a stripped bolt off my torque converter on my mazda.

Got some bad news guys. car will be coming off the road due to a head gasket blowing. after 13 years, the heat got the better of it. drop in compression was not caused by the welsh plug, at closer inspection after unbolting the extractors, the leak led up to the head gasket. oil and water mixed and all milky :(

alright, its been a while but finally getting the car fixed. alot of you will have heard of bresciani racing, well the cars getting dropped of today at there new work shop initial D. as well as the head gasket being fixed, advance timing a little, machine head as much as possible for higher comp, porting and a tune. all for an awesome price.

update, bad news for the car. the head has been taken off and gone to a machining shop. apparently there are cracks between the cylinders which are causing pre-detonation under throttle? and the top of the cylinder where the valves are, it has caused the alloy to be eaten away. now the guy doing the work to the head says that he can weld it all up and repair it but is that just a band-aid solution and should i be looking towards a rebuild or reconditioned engine?

on a positive note, front springs came in last week, so hopefully next week the front will finally be lowered with the LSD hopefully going in too if all go to plan.
