Coat of paint will be '585' (bright orange) and the wheels unfortunately will remain at 15inch for a while. Where I live the roads are full of potholes and the mechanic in town has a stockpile of rims owned by customers who want to run big wheels. They buy 2 sets and he stores one set and they just use a wheel from that set to replace a damaged wheel which they then send out to get repaired. I do how ever have information about a set of CSA magnums in either 16 or 17 inch which I would like to get as they are very chunky rims that were also abalible for big 4x4's.

Some of you may remember my wooden mock up for a shaker style intake. if not here is a pic.
Image

Well this afternoon after play around with the orignal mock up it was dropped of at a local fabricator to be made. He hopes to have it finished sometime wednesday but said if not it will be this week. When its finished the box underneath and the hole for the filter will be offset towards the drivers side of the car so that I can use the rubber pipe joiner off the EF intake and it will also have a single backet fitted so it can be held inplace using one of the exhaust manifold bolts. Now this will actually be a short term thing so I can see how the intake works.

Also the EL GT skirts are secure and the moulding of the flares into them has begun. The boot spoiler has also had a little attention today and hopefully tomorrow I can attack it with the 40 grit sand paper and shape it into its final shape.

Oh and DarkELxr6, the checks look like that will be in the indentation along the sides of the car where the side moulds would be. That would start on the rear of the front flare and continue right the way around the back of the car

I was having a rather productive day today until the sander died and the bearing in the drill went so I have decided to take a break after going crazy with left over black spray paint and hopefully on friday when I pick up the paint I can get a new drill and sander. In the mean time here are some updated pictures.

The bonnet is almost ready for the shaker

The areial has been completely removed from the guard and smoothed out

The boot spoiler is getting there and the rear wiper has been removed the the hole filled and smoothed

And just a random shot of the back of the car

I am also going to smooth out the body line that runs along the car at the same height as the door handles and I have started on a custom grille and shifter boot.

to keep your plates you should register the car at your mums address, that way you get to keep your custom plates in use and not need a RWC/pink slip every 12 months

That is was is happening Huggiebear, I have just had to wait to pay the rego.

This is this afternoons effort. I decided with the new shifter knob and the Fairlane cluster showing my shifter posistion I might as well make a shift boot. It is yet to be stiched up or mounted but its the same black velour as the dash

Oh and just to add to it I think my jigsaw is about to die as well

I think you may find that you will need the rear wiper to keep the car roadworthy. May find it if a defect in NSW, but I could be wrong.

Hey SWC and spac, the rear wiper does not need to be on the car. the au hasnt had a wiper on it for about 9 months and since then, it has had its rego done...

if the car goes through a proper roadworthy it will not pass without the rear wiper.

alot of mechanics will overlook it in general, but if they want to they can fail it...

I want to delete the rear wiper on mine too. Have not had it on there for over 6 months.

I have more than one tailgate though so could easily bolt one with a wiper motor in it on if it failed LOL.

I might hunt up the ADR on it and see what it says.

Cheers
BenJ

I think if you check before you again give advice that you will find that your car is not roadworthy without the rear wiper. Just because your AU hasn't had a rear wiper for 9 months does not make it legal.
