No burnouts in mine mate, I'm too old for that now.....hahaha! It still has standard diff and gearbox ratio's as well which make it a bit of a pig off the mark. But, on the other hand, it's a very comfy, low, loud cruiser
I see your a fan of the jimmy as well!

Bizzle wrote: Nice rocker cover huggie thats awesome never crossed my mind to do something unique like graphics. I want to keep the red theme going like the dash rocker cover extractors then the pulleys when i get so money to do the serpentine conversion. I fitted my clear au ones backwards to i actually prefer them that way to i still had to file a bit to make them fit though. You have an el engine in your lane?. cheers, yeah i prefere the reversed look aswell. i DID have an EL tickford motor in it untill a cam install put an end to a wade cam and tickford motor. so now its running a stock EF motor (ran out of rego while i was doing the conversion so its sitting out the back looking a lil sad but will sort it out in a few weeks) EL engine is a easy swap and well worth it. do you have smartlock in your lane? mine was made 1 month before smartlock came in (GRR) but i also run a bypass to keep the tickford ECU with 300kpa reg. im also considering throwing the tickford cam in it but want to see how it goes like this first |

apparently the heat wrap isnt too good as it keeps the heat in and cracks the pipe (according to other threads on here)
id just wait for another group buy and buy some extractor heat sheild |

some people think its worth it but with my vents i dont notice exhaust heat...
my lanes looking a lil sad at the moment, hasnt had rego for a few months, waiting on the returnal of a bond, we have been told we get it but there was an issue with who was ment to be on the bond and who was listed... so the RTA is in the process of sorting that. then its find a new battery and get rego again. i cant wait. been driving a KF laser since. i need POWA!!! |

It's actually not that bad with those wheels and spoiler and the side trim removed could be worse

As long as you wrap it evenly and dont overlap the wrap too much, heat wrap will work fine. I wrapped my chromed extractors due to excessive heat and it works well, havent had any problem so far. But yes, heat wrap can cause pipes to crack like what huggie said, the wrap keeps all the heat inside the pipe so if it is wrapped too heavily in sections, it'll build up hot spots and then you'll be running into dramas.. I cant stand the look of heatwrap to be honest but it's good s**t, will do till i can afford HPC
Should look real nice when the red AU cover goes on |
