The speedo etc is electronic, if thr speedo is working then the gear drive and seder are fine. Probably the drive for the Odometer is stuffed. Easiest way is to get another dash and fit it up.

i'm thinking of getting a fairmont cluster with the oil pressure and ect... so it's just in the unit itself?

You will need and oil pressure sender unit as well. Low series are fitted with a switch unit only.

With yours being a base model (gli) it will probably need a loom adaptor done up, but I dont know any more than that, maybe make a thread asking about it in the interior mods section and have a search, there are a couple of tech threads done about swapping dashes.

TimmyA, and BenJ may know more too, maybe PM them..

Price wise, not much, Ill have to double check first its still all ok..

hey guys i put the new discs and pads on my ute today, i was going to paint the calipers but i was using a friends hoist and he didn't want my car sitting around all day as he had his own things to do so one day i'll pull all the calipers completely off and clean them up really good and hang them up and spray them and do all the works! is there an easy away off pulling the whole caliper off without having to re-bleed the brakes and what not?

well here's some photos they are pretty crummy as it's a rainy day today and i only took them on my iphone but it does give you a basic idea

i wish they were bigger to fill in the whole wheel!

so now i can finally change this thing to vic plates after a long time of being broke and on qld plates.. which is thanks to racing haha

but plans are for the ute next is to paint the calipers and get the rear springs re-set to sit even if not a touch lower then the front until i save up for a front spring/shock combo and a lower pair of leafs and what not.

also got onto falconbuilder and made up a quick version of how i want my ute to look one day, pretty basic exterior wise just a bulge bonnet and some rim and a bit of low

(door handles aren't an option for some reason also the same with painting the mirrors)

i would like to buy these wheels straight up they are works vsxx rims but would cost a bucket load but i want to go wider in the rear end to get a lot of dish, but for now after i lower it i might look into buying some fpv twists just to change the look up as i've been trying to decide which look to go for!

and any chance anybody knows someone who does decently priced full car detailing? e.g cut and polish interior and engine bay ect.. in the eastern side of the Melbourne?

cheers guys

Mmm slotted wavy lines  nice!

Looks good in the falcon builder plans too! I'd even paint the mirrors black they don't look too bad IMO.

You can buy a special line blocker tool to clamp brake lines when you remove calipers, but you'll still have to bleed a bit from the calipers themselves, but it's better than the complete brake line. They are like a set of plastic pliers with a locking clip ring around the handles.

cheers man :)

can anyone spot the difference?

{DESCRIPTION}

i seen an early model eb sitting around near me localy and i happened to know the bloke who had it so i asked him he he was parting it out which he was and as i needed a new bonnet from the crash with the deer and a new set of headlights i went out there and had a look, picked up grill/bonnet both headlights and indicators and a whole bunch of darker interior peices that were in better nick then mine as my fronts seats have had it and you can feel the bottom bars on ya a**!

picked the whole lot up for $100 which i thought was alright considering it's a very close colour to the ed but i will paint it when i have spare money but for now it looks better then the dented up one

even though the interior is only base model stuff it has the side pockets in the trims which mine don't which is a bonus just needa clean them up a bit and i will install it in the car

so now i'll just order another set of clear indicators and it should look respectable :P
