Krisisdog, can you chuck up some pics of what you did with the interior? As in The gearknob/boot, wheel, all the black bits etc?

Yeh can do.

Motor starts, runs, but after running for a min or so developed a 'whistle'... sort of like a vacuum leak or a fuked spigot bearing - but the spigots brand new... Noise comes back when on idle, goes away when you rev it a bit. I'll see if I can find what the fk it is tomorrow, had enough for one day.

Well just drove into town n back with no bonnet, got pulled into an RBT.
And got let go hahaha. Copper just goes "Mate you cant really be driving round with no bonnet on eh?"
Asked me if it was engineered about 4 times though, even though every time I answered nah it doesnt need to be its the same motor, just a different one cos my old ones dead.

Funny stuff. I was s**t lol.

Also, 99% sure the spigot bearing has collapsed. I'm annoyed, and there is so much cbf factor about fixing it.

On the positive, motor pulls as well as the old one, but I need to retune the J3 before I rev it out. Blows no smoke, starts within like 1 second of cranking, has good consistent oil pressure and is noticeably smoother on idle and through the rev range . Exhaust note is slightly different as well. AU motors ftw!
Changed power steering pumps so I've got power steering again, cars really nice to drive now. All in all pretty happy.

Man, this EF looks awesome, envy suits it so well. Engine bay turned out mint, very clean 8-)

Cool interior too, the black goes well with the grey.

Yeh envy suits the shape very well, there should have been a light green of sorts from factory.

I wanted some subtleness in my interior, and I thought black and grey with some chrome/polished bits (gearknob/door handles, and even the inserts on the wheel) would give it a bit of a kick without going over the top by bringing the exterior colour inside.... Which never seems to work too well.

Made them up myself (well, knocked up by my local sheet metal place with me doing the drilling and slot cutting), had a group buy a while back, not a lot of interest at ~ $120 odd posted.

If I could have afforded the XR front I would have had it on there when it was sprayed!! But they were just going for way too much at the time :( . Still, I think the std front works pretty well.
I'll get an intake when someone runs a group buy, there was meant to be a couple now but none have eventuated; and I'm not paying the 200 odd they want locally.

Gearknob is a BA XR item, short stick with a Steeda RipShifter.

Thanks for the positive comments guys :)
