custom control arm bracket,
i suppose this can be welded further up the chassis and a custom arm made, i know people who can do this kind of work with pipe benders etc, just might cost a bit to f**k around and get it set up

This is the height it sits with a 2.5 inch spring lift and the engine in. My mate thinks its a great idea to move the rear control arm brackets forward. I can go 3 odd inches without needing to use bent control arms (3 inches before the chassis bends inwards. ) and this will keep the car from standing up on the back end as much.

its only going to be my weekend fun on the local tracks, no comps or anything, but you need some pretty good gear to get around them as it is,

ok
so ya basically want to move ya front wheels forward [like i think "altereds" drag cars?] so ya have weight bias to front? wont this change your steering? |

ok got some plans now, just gotta get some rego sorted then ill decide on keeping or selling the old hack.
if i keep it i have some small plans organised, 6 inch rear shocks, coil retainers(ill make my own but this is what they pretty much do) Attachment: coil retainer.jpg and coil drop out cone, ive been told by my mate if you run some big cruiser rear bump stops they work as a coil drop out cone and im guessing they are the cheaper alternative, Attachment: Bolt_in_coil_drop_outs_fitted_wat(1).jpg 6 inch shocks will keep the wheel on the ground longer when the wheels hanging down in a rut and the coil retainer will hold the spring to the diff, and the coil drop out cone will re direct the spring back to where its ment to be seated
