ive decided on just dropping a 977b or 1521a cam in it, if the pre tuned j3 makes it run pretty good then i wont worry about a custom tune for a while but if its still garbage ill get a tune asap, ive decided against porting the head because really it isnt going to be a huge gain for the price anyway. i can throw a 1521a and chip in for 140-150rwkw. but porting might push me up to 160-170. lets face it, 140 is plenty enough for an every day hack like mine, will be focusing on doing the power windows brakes and an lsd soon after doing the head and clutch.
think i scared a lady in a ve today, we were in the far left lane(in a 3 lane situation) which merges into the middle lane when it goes to 2, she took off from the lights and i had a small misfire down low then i took off went into the middle lane into the right hand lane and shot past her, meanwhile she was holding the ve s1 sedan flat. it was then i realised i was almost out of petrol hence being pretty damn quick + she must of had the trans in standard shift mode.

i went to buy this
because when i spoke to the owner the only signs he knew of a blown head gasget was a little steam out the tail pipe 12 months ago, but up close the car was in very sad shape and no body would be silly enough to put rego on it, the inner sills were shot out big time. in the pictures it was in much better nick inside and out than in real life lol

Better to build for boost than a btr lol no... they are a btr 40, same box as the xf also used in the old sigma and a few others. similar to the btr35 that was used in the early x series and valiants.. week as piss if used in a performance aplication..... |
