replacing the thermostat housing gasget as its leaking(couple drops here and there) which was my own fault for not replacing the gasget when i had the housing off the side of the head  \
i knew that because the engine had been sitting a while in my old car that the water would go dirty after i had been driving the car so i only hve been running water in it, and damn ive changed it 3 times now and it still has discolouration to it,also put some tectaloy flush stuff in it and drove it to supercheap and back and its came out slightly discoloured, its not a blown head gasget just rusty water

made a gasget from some acl gasget sheet i found at supercheap it says "oil jointing" but it was really thick and not like paper so i figured it would do the job and it is holding the coolant in so far,

waiting for a reply so i know when i can go out and pick up my extractors :) so ill need a new head to extractor gasget, does the extractors take the standard gasget or a spesific gasget?

i just use rtv silicon sealent for the thermostat and the like. Works great.
Do you have the standard metal shim exhaust gasket?
Regardless, yes they will all work.

Will be fine.
I have never replaced the exhaust manifold gasket.
On and off for 3 years with different headers and shes all good.
Just watch your fingers around them, the steel gaskets like to steal skin and blood off you!

so thats those really thin sheets? i pulled them off my other motor when i took the manifold off they are laying around somewhere so ill just use them if it doesnt have them on this engine i have but im quite sure it will as it doesnt seem to ever have been opened

ive been wondering if my cars going to be really loud with these suckers installed as i only have one muffler, its louder on this car than it was on my auto, has a slight back fire on a down shift, so im thinking thats going to be louder, may just add 1 high flow muffler to take a little of the sound out, dont mind if it isnt very loud anyway
