thats what i was thinking, quieter usually means better quality sound, as long as its not too quiet lol
on the auto it sounded like a long wet f@rt on a hot day

Goes quite well with a full exhaust and hi flow cat. But then again the stock headers are absolute s**t anyway...

headers are on and it doesnt sound all that different, seems to run smoother but a deeper note, no extra loud backfire/gurgle which i was suprised with.
feels different to drive but cant really tell if theres much more power, maybe ill just take it easy and let the ecu relearn itself

im thinking of getting some of that au falcon exhaust manifold shield and putting that over the headers one day to cover them up, and i was wondering if the au intake pipe from the t/b to air box is better than the el one or should i just go to the wreckers and pick up the ba intake pipe?

That's what happened with my parents AU.
It had a 2.5" zorst on it for a few weeks then copped extractors and a 200 cell cat and the exhaust note didn't really get louder but just deeper.
In terms of power it just felt a lot smoother throughout the rev range with a slight increase of acceleration, nothing spectacular.
It was an auto though so might be different..
Love what you're doing to this thing too might I add and that you're doing everything yourself!
Keep at it :)

Cheers, Luke

thanks mate doing it myself is the only way, i cant imagine how much a mechanic would charge for everything ive done so far, if i didnt do it myself i wouldnt own a falcon id probably drive around in a standard lancer or something gay lol.
yes i have just taken the car for a good drive and it doesnt seem alot faster just smoother power through the whole rev range, and a deeper note, i did notice off the lights it picks up quicker down low,

so far its been 700 for the car, engine was free, 4 tyres $240 fitted and balanced, mag wheels free
2.5 inch exhaust free, extractors and high flow cat $200, rego and green slip and inspection was 370+560+50 cd player free, so the cars cost me $2120 for where it is now,

It would depend upon what the emissions standards were for the time it was released.
I dont know if its a 'standard' cpsi either, ie: 100, 200, 400.
Why?
