I know the feeling there mate, I'm and I don't have a single memory of my grandma away from the stuff. I think I'll start saving a little here and there, but there's probably going to be a fair few more dollars go into the car before I start to solely put away for a house.

on another note i bought another exhaust gasgetfor the car to the exhaust, and the gasget that goes to the head from the extrctors because i have a feeling thats leaking, but cbf to change it today, wethers turned out hot and im getting chronic chest pains :x

For all you young blokes out there have yourself a car that's reliable and buy the house. I speak from personal experience here, I bought a brand new house for $255000 when I was 20 and now I'm looking down the barrel of 30 the house is worth nearly $500000 and I can now look at buying whatever I want to drive.

I do understand how important image is when you're young and there was times I considered chucking it in so that I could improve my image but I took a good look at the situation and figured I'd be better off slogging it out and making it easier later on. I now have friends that were more interested in pouring money into cars and partying looking at having to spend $300k plus on a "renovators delight" and they all tell me how lucky I am to have what I have, then I remind them of all the times I didn't go out and all the cash I didn't blow on cars and it makes them real sad.

Put in the work and you can get something like this

And this is my baby I had to sell to keep it

not at the way rent is around here, we live in a s**t house and its expensive, i know 25 year olds that work and still need to live at home because its too expensive, if they went out to rent they would never afford to buy a house, so they are staying home as long as possible to save,

Good point mate, but you must remember if you work hard, you need to play hard from time to time as well. You need to have a toy to play with & keep you motorvated (misspelling intentional!)!

I bought into my house at 21, renovators delight to help keep me busy & outta trouble. Still doing some work on the house here & there, but it's doubled in value during that time. I also play with my car's, with what money I can, BUT the mortgage & bills are always paid first!

You can have a nice car without too much expense if you DIY a lot of it. Let's face it, Eseries are a lot cheaper today than they were almost 10 years ago when I got my 1st one!

Cheers

just wondering if this will change the handling of the car or if its just a replacement part?

Will make very little difference what so ever unless your current link bushes are Absolutly trashed. Even then it won't make much difference

ok thanks.

well today someone tried to pull away from me in a range rover off the lights and go right, down a hill and then the left lane merges into the right, well i couldnt have a rover beat me , so i put the foot down a bit(doubt it was any more than half way and this was after i had the clutch out), next thing ya know im skidding past him with the a** end going left right left and even third gear was over excited, still managed to over take the slow small v8 sideways  but have definatly got to check how much pressure is in them rear tyres, couldnt get any grip at all and the road was dry, unless there had been a spill on the road,

pft no ebay 30bhp chup here mate, got the supercharger though :)

My guess is the road was contaminated or my shocks are way hard as well as my tyre pressure, i always have problems with the tyre places under inflating or over inflating, youd think theyd be good at it since they do it 1 million times a day, shocks are on #3 and # 2 is softer and rougher and #4 is hard as hell so ill be checking my pressures
