yeah well i told him 5 mm off the top of my head because i forgot what size you used in the tech doco, i knew it was at most 5mm and it would be more than enough considering the firewall is only paper thin anything thicker is better lol

i dont like the ford one, it will get you out of trouble though..but the angle is not quite right as they were originally ment for x series...
the pulsar one i modified worked fine but the angle was also wrong and after a while the cable inner started cutting into the alloy outer at the clutch pedal end..
so i made the one thats in the tech forum...

gee bry you must have done some searching to fine the thread where i modified the pulsar one...lol that was a few years back,,,,

ok so i went to 4 places (bunnings, mitre 10 metaland, and a fab place) and none of them had what i needed, none of them had 3 mm sheet metal except metaland, none of them at all had 18mm inside diameter steel pipe and to top it off i went to cardiff falcon shop, and they had never herd of firewall cracking before, not to mention all i seen there were a few nc wheels, ed fairmont wheels, 1 au vct engine and an ed xr grill.... wow big falcon wrecker lol.

can anyone tell me if its ok to weld the crack up for now with small welding rods and the welder turned down, at least until fiends firewall bling turns up, im not making it anymore, f**k over it already

i do realise being welded will probably just crack again or make it even worse but if it will temporary fix it for a week or so id be happy

i tryed metaland, because they were only going to sell me stuff in big lots altho it was cheaper than buying mr twisted undies(fiends) plate i just couldnt be bothered making up a million spares to sell off or have scrap metal laying around the shed and they didnt have the round bar i wanted anyway, i tryed 4 or 5 places and it was hot and i dont have air con and im the most impatient person
