when i looked at the firewall it hasent cracked down the bottom at all, its hardly moved at the top in the past 2 days which is goood, altho i am taking it waaayy easy at the moment, shifting 1st to third, using more brakes and just putting the car in neutral instead of down shifting at traffic lights etc..

well i ran maso1988 out to pick his el fairmont gayer up the other day at freemans waterhole and ran him up to raymond terrace today to help him take some valuable parts off his wrecked ef fairmont and i scored the base model fairmont seats ( like my grey ones i sold) and some cappa chrome door handles, just need to pop the pins out and swap into my grey door handles
so the drivers seat is broken so i need to swap the metal bottom frame from one of my seats onto this drivers seat and just use the foam and cover off the broken one, they also need a good clean up but are definatly in good nick under some of the filth on them,

Push out with a lil help :P

The metal seat bases are interchangable with drivers/passenger. Just have to transfer all from one to the other. Foam is easy to do as well

I actually had bases available but threw them out as no one wanted to buy off ebay or anything. Was a waste.

Glad to assist lol

dont know why i was worryed if i broke the suckers, they are cappa anyway :| just didnt wanna break 2 sets of grey ones as thats all i have lol

cheers uniacidz thought the seat bases were the same, where the back 2 bolts go in some d**k had broken the seat base so they could lift the seat up like a hinge, was before maso1988 bought the car, other than that and the food/ drink stains the seats are all in good nick including the bolsters in the back, will see if i can get some spray stuff to clean them up but would rather hire or borrow a wet dry vac, wonder how much they would be

Wet vacs are cheap. $32 i think overnight.
You dont have to use their soap as its really soapy and you need the de-soap s**t as well.

Can use Woolmix or alike.

Some places require a deposit.

oki doki well since i have sweet F**k all work this week :( thatl keep me busy for a day

also theres an update on my brothers car situation...he swapped the ed and his suzuki sierra in fair condition(facepalm), for a diahtsu skat.........with a 2.8 diesel in it and plenty of bog to knock out in the bush, bloke was selling it for 1400 so he swapped 2 good cars for a s**t, but it has an outter roll cage, lift and driving lights hes still 1600 owing on the suzuki sierra to my father out of the 3500 he payed for it

Would be a quick bandaid fix lol
I think he slid it over the pipe welded onto the firewall but I can't see that doing much .
Unless you slide heaps of washes over the pipe ? That would work. So the disc sits on the firewall , washers on the disc then cables sits on the washers .

i put my door handles in today, swapped the chrome bit of course, looks much better imo
Going to clean the fairmont seats up tommorrow and maybe swap the rear out and the passenger, will need to work on the driver side because of the broken base, may aswell wet vac my carpet while i can, and door trims, altho ive looked at them and think ill do a power window conversion one day and use fairmont gayer door trims as mine are in s**t condition anyway,
Will upload a picture of the chrome door handles later
