seats are in and fairmont is rollin gli spec' seats, will upload pictures later or tomorrowwhen mum gets home with her iphone, the grey seats look much better in the el than they did in the white ef for some reason, now i want leather seats, but the wreckers probably want my right nut for them. :|

thats a good thing about owning a gli, just chuck watevers better in, but with an xr id prefer leaving it standard aswell, its still a toss up between leather seats or xr , dono which one id prefer out of that. mite fit up some ba leather front xr seats one day if i found a cheap enough set i really like them

are you doing it with the back of the gearbox tilted or still bolted up in place?because i think i did it with the motor tilted back with the back of the gearbox sitting rite down? or maybe try it with one of them swivel things with the engine sitting in there properly but i didnt have any difficulty doing them up tight lol, starter motor was a little difficult but i worked that out, if you were just round the corner id help but seems your not in our country haha

we have spark again! thanks to who ever that was who sold me those bits and bought my seats lol i forget who it was now, the old tfi module fell apart in my hand when i undid the screws, so i put the other one on and its all good, now i just have to wait for the white paint to dry that i put on the balancer and ill check the timing before i start it and make sure its close or spot on to where it needs to be

just went round the block, you know one of them private roads  and every thing seems good apart from it revs when i plug the idle control motor in it seems to rev to 3000rpm and stay there, so that stupid things unplugged, and theres a winding noise, either coming from the power steering pump or in the head maybe from the cam? the power steering pump hasent been used for 3 years and nor has the motor been running so im not sure whats going on there but other than that the gearbox is good i just had to adjust the clutch and the brakes work good, i have an oil pressure light on but when the motor was in my old fairmont it seemed to make the gauge read full oil pressure constantly so i think its the pressure switch because the car isnt tapping or seized up yet haha,

today ill be putting the car back together and fitting a few other things it needs for rego, so far i need the alternator, 1 park light globe, driver side mirror( need to paint it black) and tyres,,i need to fit the windscreen wipers and that plastic grill thing under the window and the bonnet/airbox etc then it should be all good, i think the alternator is the coulpret of the supercharger sound because i know your not ment to put degreaser on them but when it was on my old fairmont i did because it was full of p steering fluid and it had to go for rego,i have a feeling maybe the bearings in it are making the horrible noise also it wont charge unless i rev the engine over 1200 so it needs throwing out

also the man i bought the car off has a few 3.45 lsds so once i get rego i have a feeling thats what ill be saving for :D the 3.08 single spinner is very ordinary to drive with manual and since ill be probably taking the car to a few drag events with my mates supercharged xr8 i spose i need a bit more grip before i get any more power

will upload pictures when im done 8-)
