sometimes i feel like just chopping a hole in the bonnet, and putting a pvc bend on the t//b and about 8 inches of pipe upwards and another bend facing forwards with no filter 8-) imagine the induction noise, and cold air :twisted:

lol.

now the part where the airbox exits towards the t/b is restrictive..sooo im thinking will this bolt up to the el airbox making it a 3 inch hole {DESCRIPTION}

this has a 3 inch neck size and the original el has a restrictive inside part being 73mm instead of 77

you think my idea will work? I can go buy a 3 inch pop adapter like this from uper cheap or autobarn and a long piece of alloy tube and a blue flexi adapter to at least take that 1 restriction out of the intake

i actually had to put my air box on this car from one of my others so im lost as to weather it was an el one or an ef one but all i know is theres a restrictive innner part, thats not even 3 inches , but the outside is 3 inches

larger snorkel(ba xr8 off ebay) and then where the air exists the box into the piping towards the t/b i was going to pull that plastic bit off as it was restrictive and just stick a bit of 3 inch pipe into the box and to the first flexi bit, and then wait until i got a ba intake part for the t/b-air box. but they are quite expensive on egay

Click on the image in my gallery of my engine bay.

I have still the curved aluminium pipe and also some blue Calibre Silcon tube that can go into the airbox as you can see on my image. (yours if you want, $10 registered post)

All you would need is the $25 aluminium straight pipe from Supercheap.

Then put it together and remove the adapter on the air box entirely and put in its place the blue silicon.

I used parts from the EL Intake, the tube above the rocker cover and that springy looking tube. They arent restrictive at all.

pm sent

i jammed a pod on the end of that when i was an L plater, the fuel economy collapsed and also had no power, and it was still in the box aswell haha. i could only imagine how crappy it would have been if it was suking hot air

i used ba intake pipe, then a 3inch pipe to join to the ef box, removing the restricted bit and xr6t snorkel, much better than standard and didnt cost very much at all

the pod filter only lasted 1 3 hour cruise on the weekend with my mate,

we had this thing where every saturday we would help each other detail the cars inside and out, tyre shine, polish EVERYTHING.
and then sunday we would just drive with our fathers in the car from about lunch time until we got to somewhere cool with a pie shop or ice cream shop, then we would drive home again a different way.
was fun to do and our fathers enjoyed getting out of the house(would keep my dad sober almost all day which is now impossible) :| got our hours up pretty quick too, none of our other friends had their own cars or cool parents who would get off their a** :D
