i would take it easy on the clutch, if you keep letting it slip under load and reving it the flywheel will get hot and you will get get fine cracks in the surface that might not be able to be fixed by machining..

my clutch has upped and left on me.... it feels as if i gave the engine a few red lines into second gear off the lights and posibly into 3rd once or twice and now the clutch is fooked, can drive it normal fine but if i put my foot flat in 5th gear the rpm moves up a few 100 rpm without the car atually accelorating, let m foot off and it comes back down

before anyone judges my adjustment on it YES IT IS ADJUSTED CORRECTLY as per everyone says on fordmods, and the stupid thing hasent stretched the cable in a while so no problems there,
ive bought a rear main seal, and i know how much a clutch is but what i need to know is how much roughly to get the flywheel machined? in the mood to just rub it on concrete and put it back in at the moment

ahh grasshopper, steel one will solve most of it,and a new clutch plate and or pressure plate if its not cooked and lost spring tension 8-) 8-)

oh well, im not even sure where the ford dealer is around here? i went to a ford wrekers at cardiff and it had a vct engine, ed xr front grill and a set of nc wheels for sale and that was about it, and he had no idea of anything i asked him for like au injectors to fit into an e series, he also got offended when he tryed to tell me its hard to get xr6's to wreck out, and i told him i know a guy who had 2 xr6 wagons to wreck out and a sedan, also a few ghias and v8s, just in his yard.

theres another place i was told about and i called them up once and they didnt give me the time of day so now i just buy second hand or egay. if the price is rediculous or i need it asap theres always repco for parts but most of the time they are a rip off aswell.

if i had money id scrap this hunk of s**t and buy somthing newer/ standard/small

my xr6t snorkel turned up today, and since it was a direct fit(s**t :x )

i went straight out to fit it, i almost considered selling it again when i realised it wouldnt fit and then i decided to cut out what the obstruction was, and it gets caught on the thermo fan cover, so what i did is grab a hack saw blade and cut out just enough so the fan blades wont go near it, but it fits up with the air box bolted down, and it fits quite well now.

when i drove my car out the drive way i imediatly noticed that it takes a little less pedal effort now to get the car moving but also if i hold it down flat, i can reach the redline in this century
so not a big gain, but enough to make me happy for the time being, i also recieved uniacidz box of cai piping and rubber bits and a few other clips and things he had laying around so thanks for that mate some of it will come in usefull.

also bought some bendix brake cleaner to clean the oil off my engine, for some reason im getting oil splashing up from something, :? im starting to get worryed with this engine, i think i will most definatly pull the kent out and replace all the gasgets clean everything down and drop it all back in with a new clutch, will even do the head gasget.

You got a tow bar, tow it to where you need it. Don't take it apart lol

well I was going to take my engine out in the sisters garage but I figured its so heavy(even pulled apart in seperate boxes) that id never get it back home and my nephew would ride it out of the garage down the steep driveway and into the fence accross the road lol, the worst part is the little bugger would adk me to drag it back up so he can go again

we use that type, pull it apart and throw it in a box trailer or tray back ute,try moving it in sand with a v8 on it.my last engine swap, pita.
