Just had a new idea. Has anyone mentioned an alloy tailshaft? Unsure if an au fairlane tailshaft is alloy or the same length but I know e series sedan and au sedan are interchangeable and au is made from alloy.

I am doing the same thing with a ef futura. It started at 1624kg and was 1331kg last time I weighed it.

Remove the bumpers and cut out all the reinforcement it saved about 15kg. If you run nitrous you will need a much better flowing muffler I gained 4mph running with no exhaust I'm planning to cut the collector off the extractors and replacing it with a 3 1/2 inch collector.

With 3.45 diff gears and 26 high tyres it runs 14.77@94mph on the motor and 12.92@106mph on a 100 shot. Standard motor, tickford head, standard auto and converter.
