Lookin good but I still can't understand why everyone colour codes the red stripes I reckon they set them apart from the rest.

Red stripes are only on XRs too AFAIK (?)

It's your car, an it dose make it look neater, but the stripes make it "pop" I reckon

I didn't read properly and thought you were yet to redo them..

Thats my vote anyway ..

Yeah I like the red strips don't get me wrong at all,
But the red had turned pink.
My brother owns a panel/ painting shop so I was like paint these bits for me, and it looks pretty good so ill leve it for the time being.. :)

Looking to get rid of the spoiler, you Reakon I should?!?

Anyway,
I'm gonna get tyres for the 'EL GT' (copy) rims in the next week or two,
Then afterwards I am 100% going to focus on performance mods, I promise!!! ;)

Loving the feed back so far..
Thanks guys

modded the bonnet vents a little bit to get some air flow, i added some of the black mesh 's**t' from autobahn and i reckon it looks 100 times better than the original crap.
(looks better in person)

Been off work for a bit of time now so mods to the xr8 have slow,

just a quick pick of;
*2 x 2.5" cats
&
*not sure on which exhaust tip to go with,
twin 2 1/4 or Single 3'' (both are 'Blue Diamond' and rolled outlets and on the angel)

would love to hear your opinions..

im getting my el gt rims put on any day now,
will post pics soon :)

I'd go with the twin tip. Cooler look I reckon...

But if it was mine I'd look into getting a real twin tip setup ;-) twin 2-1/4 system custom made.. . That is if you haven't already forked out for an aftermarket exhaust already... (I'm on an iPhone so I can't be bothered trying to look back to see if you mentioned this already sorry..)

Yeah I don't mind the twin tip either,
I'm looking at getting my exhaust done and the rear pipe outlet will be 3".

Can't afford custom 2 1/4 twin, I'm to poor.

Its worth saving for bro, and extra 3 weeks to be able to afford it is well worth it.. have a looks in Micks Garage thread, its big but on there there is a pic of his fairlane with a twin system, that wasnt too rediculous in price either.. and its blow in your pants HORNY!

once u see this you'll want it..

Im gonna get a similar setup done.

Okay finally got my exhaust done,
Kept the EL2 extractors, put 2 x 2.5" (200 cell) cats,
2.5" Y pipe into 1 massive muffler, the 3" all the way out the back.

My god it sounds so f**king good, there is no droning at all, I was a bit nervous about droning actually but Stewart at Mr Muffler- Bayswater did an awesome job. Felt a noticeable difference in power aswell :)

My next question is, should I get a tune for the xr8?
Friend of mine says it may cause dramas, any tuning places to suggest in south- eastern suburbs of melbourne.

EL gt rims being fitted in afew weeks.

Thanks

I don't think a tune is essential/required, maybe just advance the timing a little?

Tunes are more needed when you do cams.

Sounds like what I might get for my V8 LTD.

Any photos?

That looks awesome..

I have a set of BA rims lined up for my fairlane. Just need to get the 35mm spacers to fit them.
