Hey guys,
Im Chad and ive been really keen to get my own thread started about my pride and joy. It's a 1997 Ford Falcon Futura EL Sapphire. It is my first car and I bought it just before I got my reds back in Nov. 2007 using all my hard earned cash. Unfortunately like most guys my age my job couldn’t pay for much especially when alcohol is sooo irresistible. Lol. But after finishing my hsc I got a sweet as job and could finally afford to play around with my car, with the more expensive things. First thing I did was lower it, chuck on some mags and fix up a 2.5 inch exhaust. Then I had to wait a while till the parents went away and I could use their ba to get to work and back while my car was being resprayed. That took too long :( Anyway, THEN just after getting it back (yes just after – 3 days) I was ran up the back of by some woman. My brakes got f**k over as the terminals all broke off. I had to get that fixed asap, and because of that, her insurance, nrma, wouldn’t pay for the repairs as they said it wasn’t from the accident. It was. So I had to fit the bill.. o well I think they were on their way ouy anyway. As for the damage, I just took it back to the same place and luckily they were an nrma preferred dealer and they fixed it all up, and even used the money to spray my side-skirts which arrived 2 days after the accident. then I got that back and organised the alpine stereo system. After that I did a few mods here and there.
Unfortuneately, I can't find all my pics of my car before I did any mods, (formatted comp and mustn’t have backed up), but it basically looked exactly like this:

Since Then a lot has changed. The EL now looks like sex on wheels :)
Specifically: (in order of mods)

Heavy duty shock in the front
Lowered about 2” – just cut the shocks
2 ½” Lukey Exhaust.
SSA T405s – 18” Mags
Nexen N3000s
Respray in a Custom Pearl Blue
Typhoon Front and Rear Bar
F50 Side Skirts from Talon
Alpine all round; 6” splits in the front, 6” coaxials in the back, 4 channel amp, 12” sub, Head-deck.
Heavy Duty Gas Shocks in the back as well
lowered another 1-2”
Automatic Aerial
Fog Lights

I have pics of the car as a before an after the respray but the files are too large and I can't add em. I don’t know how to make them smaller. If anyone can help thatd be great… Also, at the moment im re-trimming the seats in black leather, respraying the dash black, recarpeting the floor, re-upholstering the roof lining and changing the colour of the dash globes. Ill be putting up pics of this as soon as im done :)
Next im hoping to manage to acquire a good looking pair of rear lights. The only thing I really want different to my current ones is the orange indicator section clear. Personally I don’t like the look of the Altezzas. Also am hoping to create a full metal bonnet with the buldge. Love the look of the buldge on the e-series falcons.
Way down the track I hope to focus on the engine, but I won’t be starting that till I am nearer to my blacks. Im thinking maybe a v8 or something and make use of that buldge. ;)

Im very keen to hear comments and things anyone thinks I should do next.
Im happy to learn watever I can.

Cheers,
Chad

Sounds good.

Use www.photobucket.com to host the pics, and then add the links onto this page.

You can resize the pics using paint, it took me a bit to figure it out but just got to image up top of screen then to resize/skew and depending on how big the pic is u can crop it down to about 60-70% and it should work out better then slap them up, cant wait to see it sounds good.

Cheers
