Hey guys
How do you clean all the parts under the bonnet? I realise those modded cars that people put on display at Motorshows have a really clean engine compartment. Do they use some sort of spray or something? How do they do it?

You'll find that most of the cars at shows ets have had the engine ripped out for a rebuild en the engine bay could have been cleaned and obviously the engine..
then when the car is on the road again they would clean it regularly with normal degreaser, even with out pulling the engine out you can still get the engine bay to be a 100%clean with a bit of time and elbow grease... |

I bought some heavy duty commercial degreaser, don't dilute it and just spray it everywhere EXCEPT THE ELECTRICS. Let it brew for about 20 min and spray it off, you may need to lightly scrub, then i just used some turtlewax Ice polish to do the paint work in the bay and you could also try some "back-to-black" stuff from Ripco on the plastics or whatever. For some reason the alloy stuff never comes up nice, thats when you get out the can of "alluminium" coloured paint from supercrap and paint it. Time and effort my freind, pair well but are a pain in the a**!
