Ok so after 2 tanks of fuel I have figured my car uses 17L/100km around town and used to do 13L on previous tune. My tuner said its cause the injectors I have are hard to get perfect down low on cruise like that and that it's either one or the other he can't get them inbetween.

I was going take my car back down to him but he said he has both my tunes saved to his laptop so he's going to have a look at them and send me instructions on how to change it back using my hand controller.

Anyone familiar with using Microtech hand controllers? I only really know how to read data logging. As for editing stuff I've never touched that side of things before. If anyone has any basic knowledge of how to navigate through the hand controller for editing it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Corbin

Damn that's a lot of fuel usage... I'm sitting on 11.7 at the moment, but I has a lead foot

Yeah well used to do 13L around town with mixed driving habits ie wot squirts and cruising. Same sort of driving nets me 17L now. So hopefully it's not too complex for me I've never messed with tuning before. Only tuned boost controllers.. See how I go haha I don't wanna stuff anything up.

Woo received the email today for my old idle and load values. Set them all back using my hand controller and it seems to be not overfuelling now :D stoked. Never really used the hand controller for tuning but I got the hang of it now. Read the lts user manual its like 29 pages haha. Just wanted to make sure I didn't stuff anything up.

Also found the reason to some of my idle/stalling problems.

When the microtech was first installed i didnt know how to adjust the tps calibration on the microtech so i elongated the holes on my tps so that i could physically rotate it for the microtech to read 0% what i didnt realise was that because my standard ecu controlled the ISC so when it dropped back to idle my ecu would still think its off idle or out of range in volts therefore not idling up and caused stalling. Also it would not idle up when a/c was switched on.

Fitted my old non modified tps and calibrated it using the hand controller and it works a treat, idles up above 1000rpm for a/c where as it used to stay around 800ish. Cant believe i had it like that for so long.

This is a pic of my previously dodgy handywork... and also the difference in idle and load maps now

Nice dude, how long will they hold the traction for before you start getting sideways in 4th when you accidently blip the throttle? :P

Haha I wish it got sideways in 4th. It will in the wet
Any tyres about now will better than what I have. I have sticky tyres on the front and hard compound on rears and it's sideways happy at the moment haha. These are cheapys anyway got the set for $480 haha

I paid $250 for my 2 achilles atr in 235/45/17. Traction is impossible in the wet with RWD cars that make decent power, even if you're running $600/tyre.

It's pointless to drive a rwd turbo vehicle in the wet with anything over 1/3 throttle. Just wheelspins haha.

Was just having a look at my hand controller and looking at my timing maps and was amazed I only had 11 degrees timing on 12 psi! My tuner reckons it wouldn't take as much timing as last time and maybe it was because of being in summer compared to when it got tuned in winter. It used to run around 15-16 degrees. I reckon it's got plenty more in it at 12 pound If I can get intake temps down

Going to try and get colder air into the engine now, might box off the pod filter. Also going to get an air temp sensor and wire it up to the Microtech so I can see what intake temps are.

also if you wire up the air temp sensor you should be able to set the ecu so it can add and remove timing and fuel depending on air temp..

Yep, I'm going to unplug my air temp sensor and wire it up to the Microtech and might just get another stock sensor and plug that into the loom and leave it in the engine bay.

fitted tyres today and gave wheel allignment and adjusted handbrake.

Just saw how much fuel you were using per 100km, can't wait to be doing that myself

Haha was that being sarcastic? How many L/100km did yours use N/A? Or how many kms to a tank if that's easier? I'm interested to know. I've totally forgotten how much mine used to use when it was n/a haha.
