Are you using a water trap in the line as well Corey?
Water in the air will cash dullness and blooming. With all the humidity around lately a trap is a must. Also medium cut and polish wont cut it. Leave the kit for a week at least after painting and hit it with some actual cutting compound.

You could get away just using one of the generic ones from auto one etc.
You are looking for "water rubbing compound". It will most likely be green and gritty.

Clear might be slightly more glossy off the gun. But you will still have to wet sand and buff to get a good finnish.
Are you using a rotory buffer, orbital or hand? Water rubbing compound isnt really effective by hand or orbital. Needs a good rotory buffer to break it down as it cuts to leave it smooth.

Doing it by hand . Wouldn't I have to be careful with a buffer as it might take the paint off ?

s**t yeah Very carful!!
I like to use foam pads as they dont tend to grab or burn edges and they cut a little less aggressivly. Like painting its a practice/research/youtube thing.

I already took paint off the corners lol think I need more coats. It's hard to sand it smooth with out taking paint off .
At least I got the paint on good . I feels smooth and that's before I've sanded it. Just need to give it a glassy look now .
