Handy hint when painting.
Go over the job first and put a few coats on all the raised edges and highspots before you lob in and paint the whole lot.
It buys you some room for error when sanding and buffing as there will be more paint.
You will always take more paint off the edges no matter how hard you try not to.

True that.
I use a stiff sponge to back the paper so it evens out the pressure across the surface.

Going good . Gave it a sand yesterday but I go overboard and sand the edges and its back down to under coat lol
Side skirts need a top coat , then clear, then buff . hopefully skirts are on by Saturday . I've started sanding the rear lip but underneath is scraped and back to plastic so ill need to plastic primer it. Front lip will be a b**ch as its rubber lol and is covered in stone chips , so I'll have to plastic primer it and spray putty it .

The painting is going really well . Just hope the clear and buffing turns out good .
I gave the side skirts a hose and they look fantastic when wet lol

the clear would of made it shiney, hence no buffing , i may not have to buff mine to get it shiney but buffing also makes it smooth and gets rid of the scratches left by sand paper.

got some plastic primer in grey so i can actually see it lol i hate that clear plastic primer,

i have a few layers on my skirts cos i keep rubbing through the edges, i hope i dont buff through it that would suck :(

f**k those siphon gun go through paint and air, almost used 1/2 a tin of primer on the skirts, it just sprayed out that thick, probably didnt have it thinned out enough haha
but this new gun i have HVLP gravity is great, uses little air pressure and not much paint, gonna get another one for primer
