ef_falcon_95 wrote: the clear would of made it shiney, hence no buffing , i may not have to buff mine to get it shiney but buffing also makes it smooth and gets rid of the scratches left by sand paper. got some plastic primer in grey so i can actually see it lol i hate that clear plastic primer, i have a few layers on my skirts cos i keep rubbing through the edges, i hope i dont buff through it that would suck f**k those siphon gun go through paint and air, almost used 1/2 a tin of primer on the skirts, it just sprayed out that thick, probably didnt have it thinned out enough haha but this new gun i have HVLP gravity is great, uses little air pressure and not much paint, gonna get another one for primer are you rubbing back the paint as well? yeah well put afew layers of clear on should give it a nice and thick coat.. shouldnt have to cut back with the buffer too much i would say

I'm just about to start spraying now . Giving it one light top coat . a guy at the paint shop said mix red and clear together and thin it down heaps like 2:1 . Then clear coat it
See how I go

yeah that paint mixture for acrylic is right.2pac is 50/50.
dont buff it for about a week need to dry 100% or you'll cut straight back into the under coat again.if you used 2pac you wouldnt of had to buff it.comes up trick

You might want to leave it even longer.
Paint can take up to 60 days to set completely and become resistant to damage.

i think i may need to buff it , i have blush ? its where its to humid and moisture gets under the clear coat and makes it white, milky ,
i was going so good then as soon as it hit lunch time and went to do a 2nd clear coat it went down hill. im hoping a heavy cut compound and buffer will take it off cos its hard sanding clear, sand paper rips through colour , ah well both skirts are painted and so are door pods, just have to remove the milky parts, touch up one skirt where i rubbed through clear and colour to sand off milky part, then clear everything and buff a week later
