So hows brake fade? It's a pain when dealing with engineers like that. They're just wasting everyones time. I swear people take no pride in their work & actions now. I worry when i'm a few minutes late!
I used to deal with engineers on worksites, and some were beyond help. They'd still argue until you gave up out of boredom

Do you think you'd fix the problem and try to get it engineered?

Yep, my XR8 will be sold. It's sad, i do love that car, my gf thinks its an obsession. It's time to move on, ijust hope it goes to a good home. All it needs is little aesthetic crap and it'll look as good as it goes, sounds & handles.

Yeah fair enough there. I'd want the brakes sorted first too. I bet you're enjoying being able to stop now! When's the kit getting tested?
The ticky kit will look great once its on. Makes cars look lower than standard. My xr8 was lower than bryce xr6 with ticky kit but his still looked lower.

The ghia is great. Its doing daily duties at the moment. I have no radio atm because i dont have the code and ford wanted rego papers +$20. But all in all i'm enjoying it and the gf loves it (quite important :P). I'm undecided as to what i'll do to it yet

vin is under bonnet on the plate, didnt get the code with the car?

Yeah i've got the VIN. But i didn't get the code off the seller. He says he has it but is out of town until thursday. I'm not paying ford $20 for a quick 30 second search of their database.

I don't have any brake fade .
Ill fix the problem but won't get it passed until I turbo it . That way I do it once . And apparently provisional drivers can't drove a vehicle with a engineers cert , so by doing the right thing I'd be doing the wrong thing lol.

My tie rod ends are stuffed .
I have vibration at high speeds
Torque steer
My steering feels s**t and bumpy .

Just some of the symptoms , so ill add them to the to do list

How long until you can get your blacks?

Torque steer? I thought that was FWD cars only

Just going off what google said , didn't specify fwd or rwd .

It just said torque steer , when braking it pulls to one side and when accelerating hard it pulls to the other , which mine does

I get my blacks on 26th of November

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torque_steering

This is at the bottom of "ways to reduce the effects of torque steer "

Rear-wheel-drive vehicles still are affected by torque steer in the sense that any of the above situations will still apply a steering moment to the car (though from the rear wheels instead of the front). However, the torque-steer effect at the rear wheels will not send any torque response back through the steering column, so the driver will not have to fight the steering wheel. Additionally, almost all rear-drive

Tried to relocate battery to the boot . But started raining . I got the cable routed. Went in through the sill , the first grommet, then came out at the last grommet near rear tyre, up into a grommet in the rear guard. Under the seat bolster , past shock mount and into the boot. Just need to get some black plastic conduit wrap and terminals to finish it off . And drill holes To secure battery

Anyone with turbo ef el . Is there a way to remove the battery tray . It looks ghetto as with no battery there lol Spose a pod filter will cover it . Or paint the tray black so it hides it .

It looks its part of the chassis I'll sus it out tomorrow . I think painting it black will hide it .

Waiting on my au2 booster . Definatly needs it . My pedal has a fair bit of travel until the brakes start to bite .
I found out if I pump the pedal a few times then brake it pulls up so much better, much more touchy, almost went through the windscreen .

Why ? Hopefully a au2 brake booster makes the brakes touchy
