I can get a water pump for $35 , cheaper than the coolant I use lol

I think I've come to the conclusion that ill most likely go auto . Will be manual with the turbo then when it dies ill get a btr, shift kit and larger transcooler . To much f**k around with boxes and clutches

thats why i went auto.. took 4 clutch upgrades to hold the power,
imo n/a manual is better..in turbo, manual is still good and heaps of fun, but auto with turbo is a completely different feel compared to auto in n/a...

i think what makes turbo and auto so good is there is no boost being dumped every gear change it just keeps pulling and pulling and before you know it your in orbit somewhere..lmao..

not to mention the ability to pull 1st,2nd and 3rd gear power skids .

if the radiator is aftermarket it should already have the trans cooler already built in.. although i only run the trans through a big seperate cooler..
you will need.
gearbox, torque converter, flywheel/flexplate, trans lines, shifter ect..
the crossmember is the same except the plate with the exhaust bracket is different.
the thing that could be difficult is being el, the el gearbox loom does not unplug from the engine loom like ef.. so unless all the wires and auto trans plug is already there you may have to either replace engine loom from an auto el or run seperate wires from ecu plug to the trans..

So the gearbox has an internal pump to pump oil up to the cooler ??
Why can't I use my manual fly wheel ?
Shouldn't be too hard running a few extra wires from ecu to trans

yep the auto has its pump inside..
a manual flywheel is heaps different, manual flywheel is about an inch thick and solid, where a auto flywheel is about 3mm thick with a ring gear for the starter motor its pretty much just a plate that the torque converter bolts to

I brought the exedy standard clutch for $214.

I'd rather clutch slip under boost than a broken t5 . I sent a email to steet build about the A5 gear set . Waiting on a reply .
I'll need a 26 spline clutch if I get the gear set. Hence buying a cheap clutch now to get me outta trouble
There's a guy selling an Astro a*** on AFF for $2000. It's for the V8, but streetbuilt will swap for an I6 input shaft.

+1 big difference on the flywheel,
if only you had made this decision a few weeks ago, could of kept you a spare torque convertor and flywheel from a auto,+ the rear cross member for the auto trans, could of sent it down or you could of picked it up at the cost of just postage or fuel. also had a couple btrs suit rebuild if you were going to build one like troyman, all of it went to scrap

U missed turbo in that equation . For me manual = n/a , turbo = auto .

Found a btr for $250, just need the rest
