Well I changed the clutch . Pressure plate was seized not releasing the clutch fully .
Bellhousing was hard to get off at first so ended up taking the box off at the bellhousing . Which made is 10000x easier . Starter motor was also hard to remove and put back on .

Atm it has the clutch aligned , bolted up, bellhousing and starter motor on. Just have to put the box on, tailshaft, front bar , etc

Yeah I mean they look flat not bend in lol
Throw out bearing was wobbly on the clutch fork . Where as the new one feels better .

Clutch pedal was different in reverse compared to forward gears . The clutch felt hard and only took 20 cm of stroke to engage/ ungrab.

I don't want to pull out another gearbox again . Hate crawling on hard concrete . Lol
Looking foward to having a clutch again , also I must of bumped the metal heater hose now it's leaking at the water pump .

Heres that link again :D http://www.fixatap.com.au/cat/sink-and-basin-fittings Trust me it works a treat. The original o-rings are'nt big enough for the hole or thick enough to seal properly so it leaks if bumped.

i would be a little concerned wether or not the tap washers break down with glycol/ coolant??
although ive never had problems with the o ring not fitting..

Glycol will actually help protect rubber eg..http://www.archchemicals.com/Fed/Uretha ... lycols.htm NOTE: Just don't use EPDM washers. If your that worried buy hydroseal tap washers or ask at hardware what tap washers would be best for this application.Still cheaper than original o-ring and a better fix...Tap washers have come along way since the old fibre type washer :) Still not convinced? check out the multi-use washers on this site.. http://www.bes.co.uk/products/094.asp If you want to get carried away taper and fit the correct size metal, copper washer to pipe or buy a tapered washer that fits over pipe,in water pump hole and use the Multi-purpose washers. All i did was fit standard rubber tap washer though,no leaks after 40,000klms and about 6 mths of sitting around.

Now to repeating myself..... The o-rings fit no problems but leak easy because they get pushed to one side by a bump, overtightning bolt on thermostat etc.. This is because the original 0-ring isnt big enough for the hole(on the back of water pump or thermostat housing) or thick enough to take a bump without breaking the seal (leaking). Also has nothing for the seal to back up to except pipe.A thicker, bigger rubber helps take the shock, and also stop it pushing the pipe to the side because it has something to back against and keep it level and stop movement side to side.

Not sure if your talking about the one that bolts with the gearbox (right hand side top bolt) or under exhuast manifold but yes both are needed to stop vibration bumps, etc. making it leak.eg. (poxy original o-rings : )

I'm talking about very top left hand side bellhousing bolt.

well long story short, in the 10+ years working and playing with these fords ive only ever had one with the pump o ring not sealing due to it being a cheap a** ebay special..
so they cant be that bad..

Well it's number two for me in 1 year. Both are now fitted with tap washers and no more leaks. Also my mates did it too and seen a few problems on this site and others. Also from memory corey only just changed water pump because of this problem, unless this was'nt done??? Or he was talking about another car??? Note: Roads up this way are rough so it probably does'nt help.
