Knew it went too well without problems . Last night I could smell burning tranny oil. Thought nothing of it . Then again just now . Layed under the car and its dripping out of the rear gearbox seal where the tail shaft yoke goes in .
It's all on my exhaust , on the diff . Everywhere under the car . Beats me how it leaks that bad when the other day it was fine .
So to fix it , just needs a new seal ?

theres a white metal bearing behind the seal, how well does the yoke fit in the bearing?

No idea i just slide it in the spline .
I did put this copper compound stuff on the yoke. On the outside and inside the spline so maybe that f**k something . It's leaking bad. All I can do I remove the tail shaft . I hate undoing tail shaft bolts . And replace the seal

did you use the auto oil in the box? its that thin it will leak.i thought a 80-120 gear box oil would be ok,a lot thicker and better for the box.

6 Cylinder T5's dont like gear oil. It jams the syncros.
Extension housing seals are not hard to do just a pain in the a***.

Yepits just a T5 extension housing seal.
They should have them at most parts joints.
10 minute job once you drop the tailshaft.

Didn't end up getting the seal as I had no money and phone was flat so couldn't transfer any over .
I checked the yoke and it has no movement which means the bush is good .
Oil is definatly leaking from the seal . I'm thinking of trying another other oil first . Ill get Castrol dex 3 . Maybe the above i got is too thin or a s**t oil. It was $10 for 1L . Or maybe just change the seal . It's going to be on jack stands anyway .

I just hate tail shaft bolts . Definatly going to use the rattle gun on them .
On thing I noticed is my seal is metal with a rubber boot thing for the tail shaft yoke . Where as the seal I took from another t5 I have is full rubber ?

Anyone know where I can get that little white thing that a screw goes into which holds the bumper on ?
The one near the wheel .

And I need my guards rolled . Tyres have pulled them out .
