you wil now have to go hydraulic clutch aswell..

That is a good win & you make it sound like the hydraulic clutch setup is a bad thing lol.... I'd much rather one over a cable setup!

Cheers

ToranaGuy

no definatly not a bad thing, but it seems corey is trying to do it as low cost as possable, and i wasnt sure if he realised that he will need the hydraulic set up aswell..
otherwise he could of got the full conversion from mal wood ready to go...

Yeah on a budget , basically don't want to spend Anymore than I need to .

I was aware that t56 requires hydraulic clutch setup . I've got prices off malwood for a t56 conversion . Was around
7k.

Changed the gearbox rear housing seal . Old one was a metal Ford seal with a rubber boot.
New one stopped the leaking . Also now using Castrol dex 3

going to be using this to make my hydraulic clutch pedal.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150598552653 ... 500wt_1287

it has a 15.87mm bore, a ba bf slave requires a 3/4 or 19 mm, wonder if this will still work ?
i can get 22mm bore but could be too big .

Well I won a vz ss 6L t56 so it's definatly going ahead .
Bell housing and flywheel should be here this week .
I found a clutch master cylinder from a Toyota dyna truck which has 3/4 bore and very similar to a ba Bf one except it's $55 not $300 .

Going with a xr6 turbo hd clutch . Might spend the extra and go 11" seeing as I have an 11" flywheel .
Getting a cross member from malwood . Then after its bolted up to the block and supported ill need a 31 spline slip yoke and shorter tail shaft . And Speedo sensor . Also will need a shifter aswell

Here's the box

you're definitely committed, your car is coming along really well.

What is the reason for going t56?

What is the difference between a t5 and t56?

I have no clue about manual boxes haha. Would love to convert mine to manual though.
