Fixed up the wiring loom, cut of connections that were taped and heat shrinked.
Also brought a clutch master from eBay UK .
It's 20mm longer than a ba/Bf master , same stroke , similar looking. Made from metal unlike the Bf master .
Bore is around 22mm slightly bigger but should be ok .
Only $41 aud , compared to $290 for a Bf one . Cheering .

That's a wicked price for the clutch master! I've had a rough look at a hilux clutch master & slave setup, in thinking about a hydraulic setup for my Ghia. No time to have a better look at it tho.

Can't wait to see the results of this!

Cheers

Never looked into going hydraulic on a t5 but it has been done and wouldn't be too hard .
I think you'd have to use a quater master hydraulic bearing .
Be similar to converting a tko to hydraulic .

I was going to get a similar master cylinder to that from a european car work shop as the master is from a Mercedes Vito . He wanted $290 . Crazy how I can get it that cheap delivered from UK lol

An external slave would be easier than a internal hydraulic throw out bearing . Just have to make up a bracket to mount it to the side of the bellhousing .

I have done a bit of research on using a hydraulic clutch with a T5.

You can buy a kit from the USA as it is a common conversion on Mustangs.

I plan to use a BA master cylinder and a slave from Ford Courier mounted on a bracket.

Will get around to it after the BARRA goes in the Wagon.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers

There's a ba master on eBay for $280
The one I got is pretty close to the size and specs of the ba one . Slightly larger bore though .
I'll see how it goes .

Cheers

I was thinking external slave with a bracket, like they used to do on old car's before the current hydraulic thrust bearing. I've seen the mustang conversions, I think one could be done for about half the price.

ef_falcon_95, put up some pics of the sump! Can't wait to see it.

Cheers

Turbo is on , manifold and drain hole tapped .

It was too hard punching a hole at first so I punched a small hole then drilled a 10 mm hole and punched it out to. 19-20 mm

Hole is a bit to big but it tapped ok and nipple pulled up tight .
Some sealant should stop it , if it leaks .

Also have to trim the end of a bolt as it rubs on the shock tower bolt . ?
Just have to hook up oil feed and drain. Plus all the rest .

Pic up soon

I'll get some heat proof sleeves for the plug leads .

I was going to get some cap head screws . Have to use a open ended spanner on most of the manifold bolts .
Studs would be stronger though .
What wastegate should I get ?
How do I tell apart the fake turbo smart gates from real.?:

I will also have to weld on a new flange as I havnt seen any decent waste gates with 4 bolts

Cheers guys .
