Can't see why it wouldn't work . I'm going to put some strips on the outside and weld them on . For added strength . Will also have to weld on a 45 degree bend for the waste gate as it may hit the heater pipe. It's much smaller then the old wastegate so it might be ok .
Once the dump pipe is modified and fitted I can start it , then get a start on the cooler pipes .

I'm getting this clutch
eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 0462781493 It's listed as supporting 550 hp which is around 320-330rwkw rwkw . My goal is around 280rwkw. My plan is to run 8 psi first see how the engine reacts to boost then go 12-14 psi. Or should I go straight to 14 ? Will the clutch be ok on the dyno ? How will I bed it in before the dyno on only a base tune ??

got my wastegate flanges today, so i can weld them on the manifold tomorrow, wont have to weld it on a angle as its so small it will clear the heater hose.
very happy when my intercooler pipe fitted between the p/s pump and coolant support.

Cheers mate . Now that I have mostly everything I need I can start putting it all on.
I've lost count how many times I've had the turbo and manifold on and off .

I got some studs . I hate using nuts/bolts , the socket fouls on the runner so I have to use a open ender.
Cap screws are so much easier . But studs hold it tighter. Which is what I need as the manifold is slightly warped .

Yeah mine has a crack in it . Pretty s**t manifold but will do for my first turbo set up .
I'd rather a steam pipe manifold .

Got heaps done today , welded on waste gate flange to manifold . Welded on flange to screamer pipe .
Had to cut down all the studs shorter . I cut out the battery tray . Had to drill out like 12 spot welds . Was hard welding the flange onto the manifold as I welded on the inside , wind kept blowing.away the gas. Screamer flange welded well. I sheilded it from the wind . Also welded up a crack on the manifold .

I'm much happier with it being a high mount . Not a fan of low mounts .
The turbo is in a great spot . The outlet fits through the p/s pump and coolant tank bracket . And the inlet has plenty of room where the battery was .

the only issue with it being in the high mount position is your leads will suffer unless you shield them...
otherwise good work on making it the way you wanted it ... |
