I put on a new gasket used Maniseal . The gasket is thicker . It still leaks but not from the front like before but in the middle , it sounds like a tractor . I felt all over the manifold but couldn't feel any fumes ?

Could having no oxy sensor make it sound like a tractor ?

did you get your manifold decked ? machined to make sure it was flat . try use a triple layer gasket and non hardening sealant. i had heaps of dramas with mine . did you get some studs as well ?

not sure about the oxy sensor tho. it prob could do something to the ecu

to find out where its leaking use a piece of garden hose, put one end to your ear and the other near where you think its leaking.. you will hear the leak through the hose...

Also maniseal is s**t.
Use copper silicone that is sensor safe.
Its expensive , messy but very much worth it.
I constantly have issues with the extractors on the Mav warping after being dunked in a river or boghole when hot. Also Windsors have very little spacing between the bolt hole and the exhaust port so blow through gaskets easily.
Coat the gasket in Ultra Copper and it will take up all the gaps. Leabe it 24 hours to dry properly and I reckon you will have no more issues.
It also expands and contacts with heat cycling so you dont get leaks further down the track.

I'm getting that ulra copper sealant this arvo .

What gasket should I use ?
One I have is made from 2 layers of thin sheet metal just under 0.5mm thick together .

The other is thicker , but it's the other type where it's not flexible but has metal on the out side with small hole marks .
This is it

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 0847380543

So I smear the sealant around the ports on the gasket , both sides , then leave to dry for 24 hours .
?

Hey Corey quick question with your turbo, when you had to rotate the housing what torque did you set the bolts back to ?
Cheers
