I guess you can look at it as a couple more months to make the car even better.

LOL, I know that one. You think to yourself, yeah, it will take me about X time, then you add a margin for s**t to go wrong, and then you still end up wrong, with it taking 3 times as long as you thought it would.

I think I may have issues with the ecu , can't connect it to laptop. Might have to get it towed to the tuners let him sort it out

I'm not sure what it is . I've got all the drivers installed , correct com port selected . I'm going to check the wiring , because I don't even know if the ecu is turning on . Would be good if ther was a light to indicate its on . And I have the ignition on when I'm trying to connect . I've already put a multimeter on the end of the plug and its getting power . So I know that power is going into the ecu , maybe it's not grounded or something ???

I think uniacidz might be on the money there. XP allows direct access to hardware, and the later windows usually doesn't, which screws up software that is written to directly access hardware, like the com port.
That's why I've kept a very ancient Win95 laptop lying around, for tuning my LPG injection setup. Cheers ToranaGuy

I'm down loading xp and ill install on my laptop. We have xp on our pc , dont think dad will like me taking the pc out to my car lol he'd say use your own haha
I don't mind xp , it's easy to use . Plus I don't use my laptop much to car anyway . Just want this base tune loaded so I can start it and test for exhaust leaks

I think I have another issue with wiring .
On the grey plug I tested red/white wire and black white wire . I got around 1v . Which I thought was odd Red / white is switched 12v and black /white is signal ground . What's signal ground ?? Then I tested red/ white on grey plug and black on black plug and it was 12 v . I contacted haltech and he said ground the black/ white wire . I'll ground it to chassis and that should solve my problem maybe . Any thoughts anyone ? I'll try to upload a pic of wiring diagram What's confusing is on the ecu pinouts it shows pin 46 as 0v signal ground . So shouldn't I be getting 12 ?

Haltech got back to me and there should be 12v across the red/white and black /white wires .
I'll fix that and see if it connects . I'd say that will be the issue. Soon find out
