He's talking about the positive stops, bump stops whatever u wanna call them. But we are not using them as they get in the way of the tunnel. Youll have to experiment with padding. I think autobarn etc sell a sound proof padding ?

I think autobarn etc sell a sound proof padding ? yes thats what i ment... ive got them in mine ive trimmed a small curve into the tunnel hole to clear the nut.. the stops are originally there to stop potential damage to the gear selector in the box on extreme gear changes.. but if you dont do fast hard changes it dont really matter... |

Have you put sound proof mat around yours mate? I have got the rubber boot that sits over the actually gear part on the box, then the rubber box that is help down with tech screws, then the sound proof mat, but i am still getting noise threw..

Nah I havnt used and matting other than what was in there already.
Maybe u could take it off and silicon around it to stop noise escaping ?? Your shifter might not be 100% flat and the noise is escaping out the gaps ??

Did use some mate, thought it would be best to keep dirt and dust out etc..

Mines half polished, still need to do the drivers side yet, going to get the cut and polish treatment very soon!

update!!!!!
put climate control in. having blend door issues. im thinking dash will be out again so i can find the problem. ordered some crow 7738-12 valve springs 110lb on seat @ .5" lift. they are a single spring. same as xr but stiffer. then dropping a 1521a in and thinking about getting some headwork done, porting larger valves, head skimmed.
