Example 1: T70 turbo, ported E7 or unported gt40P heads, explorer intake, proM maf, 42lb injectors, 10-15psi.
450-500+ hp at the wheels. Enough power to split the block clean in 2. How much do you have to send on a 6 for the same result?

Haha don't think I'd go a v8 , only in an older car anyway .
Does anyone know why fg rods / bf pistons won't fit in a el block ? Is because I need a AU crank ?
Swc has a good block I can buy , but I want to fit some good rods to it . I'm keen to try what misk done .

The Block is Hybrid, so using the crank is no issue. Difference is that the Rods between E series and AU/B series is the length and the Pistons have different pin heights.

Try these, http://www.spoolimports.com/spool-conro ... ef-conrods
As the block already has ACL Piston as well as rings and bearing, you only need to buy the rods if that is the way you want to go.

I think I'll go that way and just buy rods to suit your block . Most of the work has been done . Would I still need it balanced with new rods ?

Yep new rods will require the bottom end to be balanced.
Its good cheap insurance anyway.

Thanks, I don't want another motor letting go, especially after I've put decent rods in it.

Kon at Wollongong Automotive Services. He tuned my brothers VL and it had a Microtech in it. It actually went alright for a mismatched Chinese turbo kit. Could break traction in 2nd without abusing the clutch. Just lean on the throttle and away you go.

Do you know roughly how much he charges ?
And he uses someone else's dyno doesn't he?

Well now that I'm pretty much building a new engine . What can I do to get a good comp ratio for 20 psi ? I've heard of using 2 AU head gaskets . I will get a head stud kit aswell .

Id be inclined to go a decomp plate if required.
As you said if your doing it do it properly.

30 or 25cc distop pistons would be the better way to do it. ACL do a decomp plate as well. 2 1.3mm MLS gaskets would also do the trick.
