Havnt been on here for a while .
Pistons arrived the other day . I decided to put all the turbo gear back on but sell off the forged gear . It's going to cost me roughly another $2000 to get it assembled and machined etc . So that's $4000 . I can pick up a low km ba/bf turbo motor complete for half that . When I was turning it back to stock I was going to leave in the microtech . It had to be retuned so I thought it has a turbo tune . It's not going to cost anything to put the turbo gear back on . So it's going back on . I got the crank in the block . All torqued up . Waiting on some bearings for the big end of the piston . The old bearings were all scuffed . 6 speed is going in aswell . Will be taking it to a tuner in Sydney who knows wat he's doing .

Did you end up getting a T56?

I got it for $1300 it was a full vz ss 6L conversion . Sold what I didn't need so really got the box for around $900.
Clutch was $400 Flywheel and bell housing $250 I got most of the hydraulic set up just need tail shaft and Make up a crossmember

I think I would of got bored with it leaving it stock .

wow. 144 pages! moving along there mate. I apologise that i haven't read it all, but what happened with the SOHC build? I love the idea of a F6 or even a XR6T engine being plonked in
How are the brakes going? 6-speed isnt in yet is it?

Well with the sohc build it was going to cost another $2000+ to get it all machined and assembled .
I already spent $2000 on rods and pistons , now that dohc turbo motors are around $2500 it wasn't worth it when I could buy one of them with a garret turbo . So I decided just to use the block I brought of swc which will handle 250rwkw easy . That's almost together . I'm doing putting the head on tonight . That just leaves sump , welch plugs , rocker cover . T56 isn't in yet but will be soon , not long now till its running . Need to need up and cruise again

UPDATE
Motor is almost ready to go in . Just have to fit rocker cover , p/s pump , alternator , balancer . Then fit t56 and measure crush . Still a bit more to go once its in.

I've got a gq patrol I've been working on aswell lol
so really 2 projects lol currently have its motor out with a diesel going in .
