Yea it gets like that . When things start f**k up you get over it and want it gone .

I feel a bit like that with mine . First the head now the damage . My fault though but still :(

Even worse for me as I have no time to fix my car . Except weekends .
I had to take 2 days off work to do the head.

Looking forward to getting the stock cam back in.
No more hunting idle, won't be a b**ch to drive .No more running rich .

Should have more down low power to .

Then get it repaired , tickford kit fitted . Then leave it until I'm on full licence . Then turbo fun will begin

Yea doing it all your self would see a few head aches . As long as you think and take your time it should be fine

I'm thinking of selling the haltech e6x I have . As it's quite old and when I'm ready to use it will be even older . Plus not many my way dyno tune them or tune them in general .

Best way would be to ring up a ford specialists like CMS . And get them to install a ecu .
I think he uses EMS. That way you'd get someone who knows what they are doing .

Getting it up there off boost would be hard . It be hard to keep it under 2500-3000 rpm.

Yea been their done that with cams.
I think the best is a ticky cam for drive -ability and low-mid torque /power. As you said .

Even if I went full out with 1521a and fitted shorter diff gears , had it tuned , headwork etc . It would still be a pig to drive .

I read on one thread some guy saying you'd be better off with a low boost setup than a massive cam , for drive-ability and power , now I totallly agree .

Yea s**t happens with the damage . I'm feeling ok about it now .
Luckily it wasn't the front as it would be hard to replace that .
As you have experienced .

I did a online quote with bears auto hospital so that will give me a rough price .when they get back to me .
I'm still deciding whether to pay for it my self or go through insurance company .

When I had the 977b it got to 100 pretty quick 6.5 seconds or 7 or 8 I just counted in my head so probably off a second or 2 .
The 1521a is a great cam when your in 2nd gear doing 60 kmph put it flat to the floor and in no time I was doing 120 by 3rd . I was going to keep it in until it f**k the rear of my car :(

If your idling , crusing or under 2500rpm it's a nitemare and a b**ch to drive . When it's in the upper rev range and above 60km it's really fun just pulls and keeps pulling .

With the 1521a fuel consumption was bad. Mainly because it was untuned . But still would of chewed fuel .
I got 17L/100km on my trip computer .

Those are good times you got .
I must of got maybe a 5.5 ? Even that could be to quick though . Idk.

If your getting a cam I'd go 977b . It works well on a stock ecu and with usual exhaust mods and intake .

I have a feeling that when I go back to stock cam there wont be much difference from 977b.

So your running a el gli ecu and it's better than a tick ford ecu ??

That's strange. Would of thought a tickford ecu is better .
