This is correct to a point.
If you do some research and match modifications carefully you can achieve a good balance in the power delivery. Not much point sticking the 1521a into a stock head and no tune as we all know now. I have a 977b on a stock head and it is not too great during every day driving (thats why I will be going to a 1673 in my new engine).
If I was to port my head and fit 3.7-1 diff gears it might hide some of the (lack of) low down torque.

Just consider where you spend most of your time (in the revs) and think. I spend most of my time cruising at 2000-2500 and there is nothing more embarassing than a VN putting up a hill past you at 1500rpm as you arent ringing your motor to keep up??

I know what your saying . You have to get the most out of a cam .
What I did with a 1521a was not getting the most out of a cam.
I should of dyno tuned it. Ported and shaved head . Shorter diff gears .

It would of been great then . But I didn't want to go down that path .

Even when I had my 977b I think head porting and tune would of benefited it .

im giving the cams and s**t a rest and going turbo....later lol

if u had a hectic N/A setup it wouldnt work well with a turbo
such as high compression. short diff gears and a tight LSA on a cam.

either go one way or the other.

He's also selling the very first kit they made . Has done 30,000km . So the turbo is holding up alright .
A decent Garret would be the price of the kit.

if you want a good quality reliable set up new, by the time you do your pipework, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust system, tuning and all the little extra odds and ends expect to pay around 10g.. or from time to time you will find a secondhand quality set up from around $3500-$6000..

Yea that's correct .
U can keep buying turbos that last 50,000km or buy a decent one.
If u can't afford a decent new kit, look for a decent 2nd hand one
