phuk you and wild-el have damn nice xr's, make me wanna swap my front end, i'm guessing as they look angry and powerful.
i guess i'll have to suffice with the ticky skirts when i got the dosh.
wild-el, how much did it cost you gettin the au motor and having it fitted?
no problems with your lpg?
corey, seen in a thread you had a creaking firewall, got that sorted?
i read in a street ford mag that using a grinder disc can help if you can't weld re-inforce, clutch cable goes through center and helps spread load on the disc and wall.
wanted to do a conversion, so took it into mind althogh would probs get someone to weld it for me.

did the $1100 include the motor as well? i was hoping of spending not much more than that, the lag would be usual as it's like that in the el a bit, i'll fix that one day with a t5 i recon.
yeah will be getting the sump done myself, cousin welds for a living, nothin a 6 pack won't fix, lol.

Thanks teeroy . I've already made up a plate for the firewall where the clutch goes in. I tried fitting it the other day but it was to hard trying to remove the cable from the pedal. Maybe a smaller person could get it off lol
so next w/e I'll take the cable off from the box and fit it that way.

When he said it was flexing and going to crack ( previous thread ) I thought he was on about the whole firewall lol but the realized it was where the clutch goes in.

That's made my mind up, I'm saving. How long were you without your car? Might even head to where you went if you think they're worth recommending. Still got some time to go before I depart with my beloved el motor.
Lol Corey, sorry to jack your thread on ya.

VCT is variable cam timing . It electronically advances or retards the cam timing depending on revs and s**t . Basically the same as a adjustable cam gear but its electronically controlled.
