I did a similar thing. Drifted around a round a bout and spun out. Slid into a median strip island and my front passengers door hit a keep left sign my mate had his arm out the window and it almost got crushed lol and I buckled a stocky .
All lessons learned were in the ef. I'm less of an idiot in my xr6 . :P

Well first head gasket went didn't change it, then water was going missing didn't fix that one, then oil pressure started dropping didn't fix that one either and constant driving and killing it all the time motor couldnt take it any more. I try and take it easy some times with this one. But just can't sometimes it just talks to me and tells me it wants to go.lmaoo

Seems like the headgasket not getting fixed killed it.
I fixed mine almost straight away. I was lucky it wasn't leaking into the cylinder.

My rear main seal is leaking, so is my pinion gear seal.
It's not dripping on the ground yet lol

Yeah head gasket fkd it. I wasn't to confident on doing the head gasket myself but after I seen you do yours made me wanna pull my whole motor out and change all the gaskets. I will do that before I turbo it and throw in a decomp plate too. Make the bugger last abit longer.

I just put in my clutch cable plate . Wasnt too hard. Getting the pin on and off the clutch pedal was. Bit fiddly.
Clutch feels much firmer. No more firewall flexing lol
And I put back in my 6000k hid bulbs . Brighter and whiter than the 4300k I had .

A decomp plate lowers compression. Which is what u want for boost.
Or run 2 head gaskets .
All u really need to do a head gasket is torque wrench well that tool is a must lol.
1/2 socket set, spanner set, Hammer, razor blade, piece of pipe ,

Basic tools . Grab a work shop manual it will tell you what u need and how to do it.

Will upload pics when my net is working :(

hahhaa yeah man i finished the shift kit what i did was splice into the single wire with one of them blue thingy's that you put both wires through and then press doown with pliers and joins and then with cutting the wires i put opposite terminals on each en so computer side male terminal tranny side female so if i want to take it back off i can just re connect the terminals lol.yeah cost me 17 dollars then realised the project box was $9 so im going to go and return that tomorrow because i didnt even use it lol i just made the wires long and tapped it all up lol will post piks on my build.

lmao sounds like you done the exact same as me with just taping up.
but i cut and soldered, i guess i'm too keen with the iron. lol.
i don't remember the last time i even seen my build thread, i'm guessing if i'm not in the engine bay or it doesn't involve an xr badge, you just don't get love, so i gave up.
should start doing things and attempt to revive the thread. lol.
