Cheers mate.

I was talking to Marty and he said he'd organise a cruise either before or after Xmas.
So count me in. Haven't been on one in ages :(
Thanks for the offer but I'm after a ED . Something different from ef/el.

Cheers

Or a cooler hanging out the front .
The poly green ED monts look really nice with the clear indicators, Lowered and a nice set of rims. Theyve grown on me. There's a nice one on YouTube cutting hoops, which got stolen .

Do you know why your sun roof doesn't work ??

wouldn't have a clue, motor wasn't turning the gear so i got a new one, tested, it worked, so i fitted, and still nothing, changed "apparent" correct fuse and all, tested the other day, no power to switch when acc is on, which had me wondering.
then my mate got one installed in his vz today, so i pulled the roof lining back again, (which is now all sagged at the back and clips are lost in the roof framing. :x  ) took the motor out and tested once again, now gears aren't turning on that too. :?
like the main one is spinning but it must be that the cogs aren't joined.
too much of a headfuk for me to bother with anymore, i miss it too much with the sun coming out more often.

Are the gears worn or broken ?

being the second motor was out of a late au, (correct motor too) i doubt it, it was in pristine condition. although i opened the first one up out of curiousity and it was all pretty clean in there, no rub marks, no metal filings, nothing. not that that means it was in perfect working order, obviously.

Try taking it to a sunroof place . If they can find out what's wrong with it. Fix it your self . Or get them to ??

No worries mate, figured I'd ask anyway! I've seen a few poly green non-XR EDs around my area. They do look nice. One with a sorted turbo 6 would be the balls.

I look forward to the next cruise, it should be good. I'm not sure if it'll be just falcons or not, either way it'll be fun! Hopefully we don't get lost/split up again haha. I doubt I'll have my T5 in by then, too much to do, too little time & money!

I'm looking forward as well . Any idea of the plan this cruise ?
Through the national park and those cliff towns would be good . Could stop at stanwell tops for pics .

Not too sure what I want now as a 2nd car . Was keen on the ED but the interior is putting me off .
A burgundy el ghia would be really nice .

I know what u mean . Not much time for cars when u have work and gf's Lol

Nah I'm not sure what route we'd be taking yet. I'd love to go through the national park but with people living in the gong, the shire, out west we need to figure a good meeting point for everyone. I'm lucky I'm in the middle of everyone :D

I spoke to Marty tonight and I seriously doubt we'll be cruising before Xmas, as he want his ticky kit on and my gearbox in lol it's a shame but it's just gives everyone more time to modify!

Burgundy EL Ghias are nice. Very comfy too, a mate has one in original spec, great cruising car, very nice interior

Haha gf, work and I'm doing 2 courses at once. There's no time let alone money. Ohwell, I wouldn't give my missus up or the apprenticeship. It's what we do mate! I figure the money will come in time

I was doing a diploma in Mechanical engineering but dropped it after 2 months . Just got over spending 4 hours at tafe 2 nights a week. And besides the course wasn't for me.? I'm hopeless at all the advanced calculations and s**t like that . I'd rather be doing practical work like welding, machining or fitting .

I'm doing a tig course next year instead .

Yeah it's not for everyone, its not easy as youd know it takes over your life. I never thought I'd do night TAFE but I'm doing the advanced diploma industrial electronics, so 2 4 hour nights a week. Monday's I'm at trade TAFE all day and go straight to another TAFE for night TAFE, it's crap but the pay at the end is awesome! Otherwise there's no way I'd be doing it

Tig welding would be awesome! Expect to be busy welding for people ;) haha :P
Sorry that I've forgotten, so what do you do for a crust?

Awesome. What's it like working for Bluescope? Fitter & turner is a great trade, you'll be able to knock up anything. At work atm we're doing a bit of lathing, drilling, arc welding and s**t. And it isn't as easy as you guys make it look, and we're not even working to the same tolerances

TIGs awesome, that'll do everything won't it?
