Got my stainless extractors today . Gave them a clean up with some steel wool.

I'll be welding up my exhaust shortly . It will consist of: Stainless extractors,3" stainless 100 cpsi cat,
2.5" mild steel centre pipe, ( reason for this is I cbf getting a 3" piece made up) 3" stainless magnaflow muffler and a 3" mild steel tail pipe.

I have no idea how it will sound or preform so its all trial and error.
All I know is it will be loud lol

my el had the factory stone chip gaurd but its broken along with the head light protectors, the headlights would be yellow if they werent covered, in sections they are where the protector doesnt cover, and the bonnets paint isnt as faded where the gaurd goes along the front

The yellow head lights are caused by dirt on then lens. So it makes sense to cover them and they won't get dirty. My ef had very yellow head lights . Ef headlights are so s**t . I had to use my high beams to see . Never got flashed lol

Not sure if el is any better, but I think el don't go yellow as bad as ef ?

Well got my extractors on. Didn't go as well as I hoped . Everything that could of went wrong did.
First was the bolt holes didn't line up, so I had to drill most of them out. 12mm stainless plate is hard to drill through lol lucky I had a pilot hole. Then the cat didn't line up so I had to take off the metal hanger to get it Lined up

So I got the cat and header pipes bolted up. Tightened the header pipes, all good. Tightened the cat and the thread stretched. I was there for ages flogging it of.

When I got it off I used 10x1.5mm stainless bolts and that pulled the 2 flanges up together nicely .
All this in 36*c heat .

They look nice . Finished of the engine bay.

Stainless extractors are going great. They've actually made the exhaust note deeper.,it has a nice growl at low revs.

I've decided to go full 3" stainless but having a 3" mild steel tail pipe.

Well it's gonna be a year till I get off my p's then maybey a year or 2 till I buy another car to turbo. As mine is my daily. I'll probably get an average condish el xr6 and turbo that.

So till then it will be sitting around collecting dust.
And yea I wouldn't mind some extra dosh. Lol

So may as well sell it to someone who make use out of it.

The extractors look great Corey. They do add some classy bling to the engine bay.

Don't worry about the XR lights going yellow, they're glass not plastic. A bit of polish IF they did go yellow would clean them up

So you now want another el xr6 to turbo? Well in the future

Thanks brad . They have also changed the note a little . It's much deeper.

I knew the xr lights didnt yellow . Only plastic do.
But ours can chip from stones. But glass gives much better light than the older plastic headlights .

Yer I want another xr6 in the future to toy with . Selling my current turbo kit as I have no idea when that will be .

Then when the time comes I'll get a snort kit or something .
