Hello, i'm new to all this, I thought some people might be interested in my MK2 escort which is almost ready to hit the road, I've got a YB Cosworth for it running Mahle pistons, mountune cams, ARP studs all through etc, etc, aiming for 500 hp, the car will be street registered, and hopefully not to far away

Have no fear, the photo was taken when it got back from the paintshop, so those wheels were on there purly to roll it around, I'm probably going to get some custom wheels made up by dragway in either 17's or 18's, just measuring everything up at the moment. I photoshopped some wheels on the photo to see how it would look, but i'm still not sure!?!

Thanks for all the good words fellows!! Yeh I will keep pictures up, but as you all could appriciate it's all a process that takes time, and money. Next week i'm hoping to have a my window trims back from been bright anodized, then I can put the rest of the glass in, give it a wash, and start putting the rest of the interior in. All the interior is leather, really light grey, plus theres some laquered Jarrah highlights here and there. I have all the stereo ready for install, all Focal speakers, Alpine 9887 head unit. I wish it is running now!!!

Yeh, I don't mind the superlites, my friend has a set of 15's on his mk2, there one of those classic styles that will never disappear. I will be running 17's on the car, and I'm thinking a one off style just to make the car standout that little bit more, but i'll base the custom wheels off a more common style. I got my aluminium trims back from the anodizers, so about the fuzziness.

Yeh, I'm really happy with the colour, I ummed and arred about it before it got sprayed, mainly because if I messed it up, it's an expensive and time consuming mistake. But when it came out of the booth, I was comfident I had made the right choice. It's got a lot of pearl mixed in with the colour, not that sort of pearl people spray over the colour, which really gives it alot of colour transistions, even in some light it goes like a matt purple, I used PPG High Performance clear at about $100 a litre, and it is a magnificent clear, maybe a little soft hardness wise, but the reflection is amazing, very impressed, now I just need to try and keep it that way!!!

Here is some pictures of the centre console i've been whittling up, to much work, i need a cheaper less time consuming hobby i think :? :?: :!: :) The stereo will be going under the gauges, the wood is Jarrah and will be laquered, the covering is leather.
