Been following along silently but now have to say bloody good job. Looks good in silver I reckon, my brother had a silver '63 Fairlane with Pearl and it looked brilliant, this is close with straight colour. Well done.

Cheers
RD

Looks awesome so far mate, can't wait to see the finished product once everything is back together. Tops!!

Love that colour too, suits it well i reckon, reminds me of my Dad's old ZD Fairlane he had a while back, it was the same shade of silver but had a matte finish because it faded

im happy with the colour, might give it a respray later same but not a rushed job.
ended up taking 6 days of work to prep and paint and i went over my $400 budget by $120 too, that was only for materials and i had the silver to start with (only used 2.75 litres).

been there done that fordfairmont, when i started out i did a full dipped rx3 drag car inside and out every inch of the body, spent 500 hours doing it and charged my mate $5000 all up.
that green rx3 4 door races in sydney now and runs 8.2 quarters
also painted another mates mazda r100 for $1000 and it was voted one of australias top 10 favorites, featured in a magazine next to cars with $20,000 paint jobs

Thats turned out pretty nice Craig. Im sure after you polish it, any dust that may have settled on the fresh paint will come out.

I look forward to seeing it in person once you get back from your honeymoon :)

Looks great mate, also can`t wait to see it saturday. Unreal job considering the wind that we had to deal with whilst painting. Agree too hot for us to be wearing suits on Saturday, just think of those fluids going in. Good one mate.
