im getting married in ten days time. i always wanted to have my car in my wedding, and was going to until a few weeks ago. but we ran out of money.
yesterday we went through our bills, and now i have $400 to spend painting my car.
im a painter/panel beater myself so no probs, just a bit of a rush, got 4 days to finish it.
car was painted 12 years ago satin black, took around an hour.

bodywork is very average, but im only going to give it a quick bog job and respray, only has to last a couple of years, later i can bare metal it and start from scratch.
today i chased up the primer, paper and a few other bits.
brother inlaw stripped the exterior parts/chrome
and we got started on the rubbing back
car is almost fully rubbed back tonight

i will add some new pics as we go....

calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'

spent too much time aligning the boot and fixing where there tail lights fit today.
finished rubbing the last door and rear quarter now
ground back a few areas, probably 15 patches, and bogged. rubbed some back
starting to look better now, the 41 degree temp here didnt help our enthusiasm much either
hopefully primer tomorrow

Great XR by the way
If the paint is acrylic 3-4L wont be enough at all.I painted my missus bonnet on her HZ tonner in acrylic and i used almost 1.5L and can do with more...Luckily when i painted the bonnet it came off the gun very well so no buffing required, had a fair amount of shine and no peel either..

Good luck with it all hope it turns out.cheers Bryan

thanks mate.
ive been painting for 20 odd years now
paint is 2 pack so wont be a problem, the primer is very close colour to finished colour so wont take much to cover
