first of all Dan the turbo setup on your AU XR6 looks pretty sweet. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the turbo kit set you back and what did it include. I was thinking about going the M112 for my 02 AU XR6 auto and was wanting to get around 200rwkw. At the moment its running 158 - 160 with a mild cam, mild head work, extractors, ballistic cat, 2 1/2 inch exhaust and a 3inch CAI. But still undecided whether to go turbo or supercharged, so I'm after a bit of advice.

Over the weekend I got to drive a ba xr6t with 300rwkw and I thought it was awesome fun, although I have not had the opportunity to drive a supercharger car before. So my question is, which one from your experience Dan is better/more fun to drive? whats the pros and cons?

I started putting in the ghia interior yesterday.

I pulled out all the old vinyl flooring and had to clean out bucketloads of sand and dirt. I moved the bench seat spec handbrake from near the drivers door and fitted the leather ghia one to the center and fitted the ghia's carpet, seats and center console.

Next week Ill swap over the electric windows, tinted glass and ghia door trims.

Then I just need to source a black dash to suit my current heater setup and a black steering wheel. That will likely get done after the turbo is on though, I'm not in a hurry to do a dash swap.

Here is a photo.

ROFLMFAO! lol. Thought about it, couldn't do it!

I can't wait to see the new turbo gear. I still can't make up my mind, keep my Xr8 & maybe charge it or keep my Ghia I6 & turbo it...... lol.

Cheers

hey dan my current dash is black but uses a S2/3 forte heater setup would that be any good to you?
Iv got a dark steering wheel but i thought they all got the same colour steering wheel as my standard one wasnt as black as the dash... have you looked into the getting the power windows working? the utes maybe different but i thought you needed a B.E.M that could control the power windows... you could just hard wire them i guess...

Yeah that dash would be good as long as I can use my standard heater setup and its black and in good condition i want it.

My steering wheel is most definitely grey. My GF had a regular fairmont with a black wheel, its a different colour.

Ill do the power windows without the BEM, ill just hard wire them to power through a relay and fuse so they turn on with ignition.

i think you could use your current heater but you would have to fit you wiring, bem etc to the black dash which isnt to hard, its in pretty good condition, has a few little scratches which i can take photos of if you'd like.

I'll bring the steering wheel up on sunday , its just sitting in the shed atm.

iv got my rear windows wired up like that now and its working fine...

Manual.

The 6 speed auto would be nice but too expensive, too hard and still not as fun.
