XR6T. Yes the gearbox will fit but Ill have to mod the gearbox, install a hydraulic clutch setup, figure out a speedo input etc etc.

At the moment my Iphone and TomTom app will fix that. It only doesnt work when I go in a tunnel.

I'm pm'ing OED on boosted atm to see what kind of stuff he can sell me to make the install easier. Its hard using an iphone. Boosted is blocked at work. :(

He mentioned a under dash hydraulic clutch setup which is a bolt in job instead of modding a BA pedal. Its pricey but if it makes things simple then Ill get it.

He also said he could change some bits to move the shifter a touch forward so it was in the same spot as standard and give me a speedo sender. I didnt get a price though. I think the shifter was only 10mm further back in Bomber's car anyway which isnt a big deal.

I might see if I can use the ABS sensors somehow for the speed but Ill just mod the box if its not too expensive.

Are you not going the ghia dash mate. because I would be putting a BA manual pedal box in while the dash is out.

Do you think it would be a close fit into an AU?

Im not putting the ghia dash in but Ill be putting a black one in to match the seats and stuff.

I dont want to mess around degassing and regassing aircon so Im keeping the standard heater setup.

I have not played with AU's, so not too sure. But I know someone on the forums has used a BA manual pedal box in a EF.

Best part about the BA manual pedal box is the master cylinder is mounted on the pedal box and not the firewall. Been looking into the way they are setup because Ive been thinking about upgrading to hydraulic clutch.

I thought the AU firewall was the same as the BA? BA is just the EF in the E series. its the same car accept the back and the front, thats why people have done BA interior conversions into AU's easily?

FourL6 came over today and said only the A pillars are the same and nothing else matches up. He tried fitting a BA dash into his AU.

I think for the sake of bolt in goodness Ill just hand over the cash to Mal Wood.

I know bomber cut and shut a BA pedal, Im pretty sure Rollin did the same but unless I can find a cheap pedal 2nd hand they are still $300+ from Ford apparently. Im sure once I throw in the efforts of trial fitting, measuring, refitting, possibly adjusting things and the trips back and forth to someone good with a welder I would have wished I paid the extra for a bolt in kit in the first place.

These days Im starting to like the idea of someone else doing the hard yards. Im getting lazy in my old age. :P Plus once you do something different on here at home in a DIY fashion 400 people demand a step by step tutorial.

Electric windows and door trims are nearly all done now. Just a bit more wiring to go.

How much is the kit from Mal wood? do they do one for E series as well?

Either way, im sure you will be happy with the 6 speed once its installed :)

Its around $700 to suit a BA 6 speed. I think its about double that to convert an E series box to hydraulic.

I would be looking at a B series box. I have seen a one setup in a E series, might look into using the B series pedal box when the time comes.

I think I asked you earlier in the thread, but your plans have changed. Are you going to cam this engine?

Yeah I will when I build a proper motor which probably wont happen until after I move into the house I just bought.

Until then Im planning on replacing the motor with another 2nd hander and running as much boost as I can safely. Hopefully that will give me around 280rwkw.
