It was exactly as I expected. Unfortunately it made me want more. :?

I did like the kit but it just didnt have that kick that a good turbo setup has. I found photos of my old AU which reminded of how good 300rwkw was.

So, I thought you where selling the charger kit because you needed the money for a house

None of my business.............

So was it not worth keeping the charger kit on and adding the necessary bits and pieces to give you the extra power you could have got with it?

We got out bidded on a house on Saturday but all our finance is in order now.

The charger kit couldnt be intercooled so was limited in the amount of power it could make. I dont think it would make more than 250rwkw. To get that I think it would have needed headwork and a new cam at least.

I only bought the charger kit because I was intending on being happy with 200rwkw.

Plus I like turbo noises. :P

Ok fair enough. Are you not interested in doing head work and upgrading cams? Do you need to have the air coming from the charger intercooled? Its not like the air is coming from the exhaust side and the air temp coming from the charger would be far less than from the turbo?

11 second quarters are for people who dont have T5's :P

Im not really interested in going racing anymore. I just want a ute that has a bit more overtaking power.

Increasing airtemps are a by product of compressing air. After 10 or so psi the eaton's air temps go up heaps so need to be intercooled.

All the SVT cars that run the same charger have water to air intercoolers factory.

Yep that makes sense. Hasn't jeff worked out a water to air cooler for the kit yet?

The Kit dan is using was a development kit, he used the SVT M112 blowers, but they're larger and don't have room for intercooling.
Production kits are planning to use Maganson MP112 Units that are smaller and allow more space for intercooling.

Yeah what John said.

It was a basic cost effective kit designed for lowish power levels. It did the job that it was designed for well.

Now I want more power.

Thats interesting, what if the manifold was designed to have the charger up the right way? Then this would not be a problem yeah?
